ESB recently advertised for a joint venture partner to develop a fibre-optic cable network that will bring fibre to residential and business customers across Ireland using its existing electricity overhead and underground network.

I remember discussion on Boards about such a venture but had not dared to hope it would actually be done!

I have no further info on this, so if someone else has please post it.
