getting wireless broadband in another room

hi, i have internet in living room with router and lead going from router to the bottom bedroom because it can,t pick up strong signal,
using ethernet lead for laptop, but i have just got a ipad,

can i plug ethernet lead in to some kind of wireless device for using internet on ipad

There are many wireless hubs you could get. You should make sure your current router doesn't have wifi, most do.

You could get a new router with wireless built in to replace your current one. Or you could get a dedicated wireless access point which may end up being more expensive as most people buy the wireless routers that do it all so the dedicated wireless access hubs often tend to be at the higher end of the market. which does often make them more powerful but maybe more complicated to operate due to having loads of options.

Your best bet is probably to replace the router unless you've got a big old house with thick walls. I've found Netgear stuff to be pretty good, they tend to be a bit more pricey but are very robust products.

and TP Link TL-WPA281 AV200 Powerline Extender with Wireless N Access Point £40 gbp.

Would be 70£ so an expensive solution I suppose but would transfer broadband through electrics in house at 200mbps and then create wifi signal in room you want it so would be quality solution (at price though)!
