Advice for a new aquarium

Any input is gratefully appreciated. I am about to set up a new aquarium(tropical) for the little ones. In the box, there were the usual(I think) lamp, heater, power filter, nutrafin max, nutrafin cycle and nutrafin aquaplus. My question is. Do I need more stuff(as per the manual)? Namely nutrafin test, nutrafin waste…

My question is. Do I need more stuff(as per the manual)? Namely nutrafin test, nutrafin waste control, nutrafin clear fast, algae cleaner, gravel cleaner?
In the book it mentioned algae scraper or algae magnet to clean the glass. Which one is better?

sometimes I feel the magnets can scratch the glass if any grit gets caught between it and the glass
