Goth Makeup for a Guy

I'm a crossdresser and a woman has requested that I dress up as a goth princess for her this weekend and post some vids on youtube.

Does anyone have any advice on makeup and clothes?

I'm presuming quite a dark look. She's insisting on very high heels, sexy hoisery (such as stockings and suspenders), and very short skirts.

I'm hoping to make at least 3 little vids for her.

Any ideas?

I can't help you with the clothes but there are loads of goth makeup tutorials online. I guess the goth look is all about super dark eyes, lots of eyeliner and red/dark lips. I think it's the kind of thing where you can be creative and use different colours, like purple (for eyes or lips) and fake eyelashes etc. If you look up some tutorials on Youtube, I'm sure you'll get lots of ideas.

Wow thanks for that Suomi, some of those looks are really hot. I'm torn between going for a dark lipstick or my more usual red but I should probably go for the darker colours as that's what the person I'm dressing for would probably want to see.
The brows are all so perfectly plucked, I'll have to see how far I dare go!

If you are doing your eyes really dark - don't go all black (you will look like you have been punched in the face) but try to add colours like red/wine and purples. Loads of eyeliner is a must and lashes will enhance the whole look.

For the lips - you could go with a dark eye and dark lip, goth make up is not for a faint hearted! Again, try to add some deep shades to prevent it looking too blocky and black.

For the dress - Pennies, Dunnes etc. are a must if you do not plan on wearing it again. Fishnets are a definite yes, and you could layer different texture tights too. At the moment, due to Christmas catching up with us a light speed, there is a lot of red stuff in shops. Mixing red and black would be fine, but try to make it more wine red than santa red. Corsets and bustier tops would look lovely without showing too much (although could be layerd with a bit of sneeky bra lace on show). Mini skirts or bed wear could work for the bottom. Think sexy, textured and dark for the clothes... and the whole look!

Wow thanks Lorebringer that's really useful. I'll use dark eye makeup and false lashes, might even try false lashes on the lower lashes too!

Good idea to blend in the lips with something less dark.

I've a black mini-tulle petticoat that I might wear, it will also show off my stockings and suspenders! Not sure about shoes yet, black high heels or black ankle boots (possibly with frilly lace ankle socks too).

Plenty of things to ponder! I usually go for a much girlier look but the girl I'm dressing for thinks a goth look will look really cute on me!

I'll post links to the vids when they're done. Any more suggestions for makeup/outfit/or video scenario ideas would be most welcome!

I recommend Revlon Black Cherry lipstick. You can get a very dark lip if you apply heavily, straight from the bullet; or get a quite light colour if you apply a little bit like a stain. So, you have the chance to create a custom colour with mixing it with another lip product and adjust the darkness/tone of it.

Thanks Vibrantblue I might try and get some. Revlon stuff seems very good. Thanks for the blending tips too. I already have a dark purple lipstick so might try that too. I bought a little studded collar today too! I'll probably wear a lace body with a black bra underneath, black fishnest stockings, my black tulle mini-petticoat, dark purple false nails, lots of eyeliner and blended eyeshadows with false lashes on upper and lower lid. I'll also try a black minidress too. I've a long black wig too. I hope the girl I'm making the vids for is pleased with my attempt to look like a goth princess! I'll post the vids/pics if anyone wants to see them this weekend. Any other ideas are welcome too, thanks for all your comments.

So here's my goth look, hope you like. It's actually quite bad! The eyes maybe are ok but the lips are a disaster. The outfit isn't too bad and my chin is too big for a girl! But the girl who wanted me to dress like this seemed quite pleased. I'll post a link to a video if anyone wants to see it. Awww thanks Ennis I think i need to improve my makeup skills a bit though! I tried on some gorgeous heels in Forever 21 and got some giggles from some girls nearby!

looks well , good job on the make up too , you could fill in your eyebrows next time to fame your face, also if u wanted to make your chin look smaller contour it. a vid about contouring and highlighen to help you next time

I don't think heathersissy minds the giggling. In fact, I'd go as far to say she enjoys it judging by her youtube videos.

With regards to the make up, I know you've already done it, but if you're going for a Goth look again, try some darker eye make up. Where the pink is, use purple or red. I used to be a 'Goth' in the sense that I wore the fashion for years, and if you're going to do a light-ish lip colour (I know yours is red, but it's a fairly light shade of red), use much darker eye make up. If you want to stick with the pink eyes and lots of liner that you have in your pic, use a REALLY dark plum colour.

I'm also jealous of your waist!

Thanks Aisling, I've a fairly narrow waist but I think a corset would improve it but the proper ones are expensive.
Thanks Lynda, the top is a lace body that I got in No Name bargain basement ages ago. It was a purple I used (from Kiko) but it wasn't really dark enough and showed pinker in the pix, also I think I should have used some dark blush too. I must get some plum colours alright.

Definitely need darker eye shadow, there's nothing goth about baby pink eyeshadow.

And for the love of God dump ankle socks, they look awful on everyone.
