Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend:

Is there any current legislation outlining the entitlements of an employee in an “acting up” position? In particular, how long can someone be kept on an acting contract without being offered a permanent / contract of indefinite duration?

    Thanks in advance.

With acting up do you mean someone taking on more responsibility without a pay rise or job title change, such as a experienced retail employee being "acting manager"?

I presume you are talking public sector as you mentioned CID. Unless it's a front line role, it's very hard to get sanction for a new post or CID from the Departments due to the moratorium.
has your friend spoken to their Union.
