Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cowboy solar installers

The cowboys are still out there.
While we were installing a solar system in Galway we viewed these flat panels installed on a neighbouring roof and noticed that there was no insulation on the stainless steel piping attached to the panels.
I wounder if the home owner ever looked out the velux window and wondered why his system was'nt performing to the best of its ability.
    What would you do now?
Carry on working on your own installation
    OR
Tell the homeowner he has a problem

I'd tell them, it would be your good deed for the day. Also lets people know we are not all cowboys out there in Ireland.
I came across something similar the other day during an inspection, no bleed pipe or catchment chamber. There was glycol all over the attic space.

People are at the mercy of these cowboys, we believe what we are told and hope the trades men can do their job, name and shame…

For legal reasons don't do that on a public forum you don't own.
