How to get robocopy working under windows 2000 server

    Does anybody know how to get robocopy working under windows 2000 server?
    I copied the file from my windows 7 pc to system32 folder in windows 2000 server and it says
    "file is not a valid w32 application"
    any ideas

    You need to use the old version from the Windows 2003 resource kit.

    ROBOCOPY :: Robust File Copy for Windows :: Version XP010

    You can download the 2003 resource kit from
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17657

    and if necessary, use 7-zip to extract the rktools.msi from the rktools.exe, then extract Cabs.winrk.cab, then extract robocopy.exe
