Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Newcastle team: Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon; Perch, Tiote, Anita; Cisse, Ba, Gutierrez

Subs:Elliot, Tavernier, Ferguson, Bigirimana, Marveaux, Sammy Ameobi, Shola Ameobi

Man City team: Hart, Zabaleta, Kolo Toure, Nastasic, Clichy, Garcia, Yaya Toure, Nasri, Silva, Tevez, Aguero

Subs: Pantilimon, Kolarov, Rekik, Lescott, Razak, Sinclair, Dzeko

No HBA for Newcastle and with that midfield not expecting much out of this game. Prediction NUFC 1 - Man City 4

Marveaux should be in for HBA. Perch, seriously?

    This could be a drubbing.

Not sure people see the big picture here to be honest.

Perch is a tidy player and will sit back alongside Anita, Tioté and maybe even Jonas. Cissé could again play on the right, or just behind Ba.

    HOWAY THE LADS!!

Kolo Toure is a worry at centre back.

I see the picture fine Doocey. Pardew is too negative to put out the one creative player we have in the squad because he doesn't work hard enough.

Perch is an ok Tiote replacement, playing 4 defensive minded midfielders at home is a joke. There will be no link between midfield and attack and I expect City to absolutely dominate possession looking at that.

Marveaux has done well when selected and should be playing on the wing, we should not be sticking our number 9 out there.

Manchester United are going to have a huge gap when the beat us today if Newcastle get something out of this.

Not really , He's just unlucky Kompany got injured had Nastasic got injured he would have been playing .

Mancini won't play 2 left footed centre halves hence why Kolo Toure is playing .

Gone to pure muck now. No confidence, Williamson a liability even more so with a yellow, will be off by end of game.

Very ominous! This could turn into some battering, just allowing city walk the ball in

They get Cabaye back in a few weeks and things will turn around for them then.

Silva had a slow start to the season too. When Yaya is up for it he's a tank in the centre.

I hope City don't end up paying for wasting their chances. They should be 4-0 up by now but Newcastle are always dangerous.

Serious start from City. Need to be more clinical though, always the issue.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,364 ✭✭✭✭Kylo Ren

It's so easy for them. Pass from the middle out to the right. Square the ball in and take a shot. It's like bloody Fifa.

    City ripping Newcastle apart

Last week might be the wake up call city needed, they are working hard today, I still fancy them to win the league.

Shocking here by Newcastle. Should be down by more.

'Bout time they scored a second, they can batter Newcastle here today if they feel like it. Signs that the bubble is about to burst at last for Pardew and Newcastle, never liked him.
