Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seems to be a real lack of atmosphere at the game.

In fairness augeuro did run in front of him and looked as if he would get a touch.

Delighted for Garcia to get his goal, maybe Mancini will play him more now, think he's an incredible player when given the chance.

Newcastle are so bad going forward, so slow to move the ball.

City were playing amazing football, Yayas assist was unreal.

City could win this by at least 5 if they wanted I expect they'll get a few in the second half, Man U and arsenal to come before new year I think Newcastle will be in relegation zone after that...

Pardew is laughing anyway, already got the bumper contract :)

Pretty handy for City first half. Have watched Newc a few times this season, mad how they look so average compared to last year. Cant remember them playing so many long/high balls last year either.

'Bout time they scored a second, they can batter Newcastle here today if they feel like it. Signs that the bubble is about to burst at last for Pardew and Newcastle, never liked him.

I think they'll turn it around to be honest, but I don't get why he's using European games as an excuse. They play virtually a completely different team for European games with the vast majority of the main players left in Newcastle. Even the fans are seeing through that excuse.

Ashley is a smart man. There will be a huge amount of clauses in that contract which will allow him to get rid without paying up all 8 years if he wants.

I wonder how long it'll be before our fans turn against Pardew.

No reasonable fan would expect us to get anything today, but these performances keep coming. The football is dire, the defending even worse and the excuses are very weak.

Stopped watching about 5 mins after first goal. Not surprised two nil down. Expect to be alot more by the end of the game. Its difficult to support this team the way Pardew is playing them week after week. We are much better than this. He may get money in January but who wants to come to a club that plays atrocious football like this.

    Completely agree with you man.

It was like this when Ben Arfa and Cabaye were in the team.

Every time I see Cisse pick the ball up out at the touchline I cringe.

Either bench him or play him as a number 9 cause that's the only position he can play.

this newcastle long ball game is heart breaking stuff to see, its not working

so keep the ball and just string some passes together to get an opening?

guti runs like a horse but there is no end product, he is dire this season along with danny simpson, williamson

Newcastle haven't come back from a half time deficit to win in six years (60 odd games) apparently.

    to win right?

Arsenal 4-4 game was one where I suppose they deserve credit for coming back

Yep, to win. My edit wasn't quick enough :pac:

Least we showed some balls and made a game of it.

City really rode their luck, lot of balls flashing across the box could have ended up anywhere. 3rd goal went through about 4 or 5 bodies too.

The goal gets me my first 3 points in the boards prediction league for the weekend :D

We have never won a game in which we have went behind under Pardew.

We had a similar stat under Souness.

Makes me miss the days of SBR when going 1-0 down assured us of victory :D

Anita has improved so much. Our best player over the last 4 or 5 games.

Liverpool are as bad as Newcastle in that regard, funny how some teams (Utd thrive on going behind) just can't summon the will to win

anita has improved but i would like to see more, also santon i think is settling into the game and has been good for us this season

We defended naively and missed 2 glorious chances when it really mattered, City in fairness played really well today. Be in no doubt though, game against QPR is a MUST win, not a hope in hell that we'll get anything from united and arsenal.

    So much negativity..

We played quite well today, but City, as we know they're capable, passed us off the park in the final third. Their first goal - against the run of play - was fantastic. Not sure many teams would be able to defend against a Yaya Toure through ball like that.

What annoys me is the fact that we are being let down at CB, and RB.
Simpson had a decent game today, as did Williamson - but the damage was done at that stage.

Cissé played OK, if he didn't lean back for that chance he'd have buried it and the complexion of the game would've changed.

2nd half we trod all over them, but City are so clinical on the break.

Lots of slack for Santon for his endeavours on the post but ya got to remember he's been the only player in the last 6 games that has shown a fearlessness that we need to. He probably should have kept it out, but that shít happens.

All in all, we deserved a couple of more goals, and could have conceded 2 more as well.

Anita excellent all round, Tioté mopped up quite well, Ba good in the air, Perch as good as can be expected.

In other words, play like we did today against teams outside the Top 4 and we'll pick up wins, I've no doubt about that.

    KTF.
