Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Valencia is lost without Rafael to overlap .

He looks worse today because Rafael bails him out so much. When that defender closes Valencia's right foot everything stops. Defenders get back into position. Any attacking positions gained are lost. Valencia just doesn't know what to do. Today Jones isn't always there like Rafael would be. Carrick is sprinting over to bail Valencia out.
    Frustrating.

Jones is doing all the running, Valencia seems to have lost his mojo lately :(

This is one of the reasons we lost the title last year. Utterly dominant and yet we've got lazy and sat back with a two goal lead instead of pushing on and hammering teams. Bit irritating seeing it again.

It's 2-0 at half time and we had a couple of chances after the second.

Can't really ask for much more.

I dont think its like those performances at all. Sunderland were always likely to have some spell in the game. I think we will come out firing at the start of this half in front of the Stretty

I don't think we've sat back at all.

Phil Jones has been absolutely quality, won every single one of his aerial battles and his running beyond the ball has been super. It would help if Valencia could stop playing the ball 10 yards in front of him though, how many times has he lost the ball in the first half? And two stupid fouls as well, poor for the second week in a row from Valencia

Valencia has been very poor this season. Hopefully Nani comes back in and plays well forcing Val to up his game because he's been very, very poor so far this season.

****ing raging. O Shea is some smiling donkey prick.

    Still hoping for 2 - 2

The worst part is that a lot of our play comes down Valencia's wing. He is always available for a pass high up the pitch and does well to make space for himself. He then seems to run out of ideas, which is **** because a bit of quality coupled with the amount of ball he sees would result in far more goals this season.

Anyway, most comfortable first half we've had in a while. No real danger from Sunderland apart from Rio's unforced error.

No he has not been very poor, he is not up to the standard he was last year maybe be is very far from having a "very, very poor season"

Push on and kill em off.

    Why take Carrick off though?

    Give him a rest?

Has Carrick picked up a knock? Odd to take him off at half time.

    Scholesy on

Don't really get that unless he's given Carrick a rest and it should be 3

He was going to hit it first time but watch the spin on the ball after it bounces, bounces really strange.

Well done Dave . I'd bring on Vidic and put Jones in midfield . Clev and Scholes don't offer enough protection .

Not like RVP that. Cmon United kill this off

It's sad seeing Paul Scholes look at the game passing him by. Hopefully he can come up with a moment of magic.
