it could very easily be 1-0 with Dzeko scoring though Im hoping for an Aguero hatrick and a Yaya special

I'm hoping for the Tevez show with a special appearance from Yaya

Tevez will be rested knowing my luck, added to that I have Cazorla and O'Brien missing for the following week, it could be a crapping xmas fantasy wise if the likes of mata and rvp get rested, also have to work bale back into the side when he is back fit to take advantage of spurs easier fixtures

I'm pondering over Shawcross to Zabaleta, given their respective fixtures over the next few weeks (it's especially tempting with Reading this weekend). Zabaleta is on a good run of starts, though I'm wary of potential rotation. I'm wondering when Mancini will decide Maicon needs some starts. The other thing stopping me is that I got Shawcross at 5.0, and he's 5.8 now so if I brought him back it'd be at a 0.4 loss. That and he's a bonus point magnet.

I've just taken a hit to sell Enrique and buy Zabaletta. Enrique going down in price soon and Zab going up. Plus I have/had 3 Liverpool players which might be considered the definition of insanity. Zabaletta seems to be some kind of a bonus point magnet lately too.

Enrique is expected to be back at the weekend, and could easily score well at home to Fulham. Not too sure I would have been taking that hit, but fair play if it comes off.

Fellaini suspended,Sterling to be rested according to Rodgers & Mikel:eek:

In reality, atm you only have 2 midfielders that will get you some kind of points.
Up front & in defense you aren't too bad so concentrate on getting the midfield sorted.

considering Fellani to yaya and mikel to either Puncheon or Johnson as both have better game time and decent sub options

Bale back in training! Posted it on his Facebook page.

Does anyone know if Sterling is rested will he be given the whole match off or just left on the bench in case he's needed?

Don't fotget Bale is 1 yellow away from a suspension.

As do I, but who to go for? Which of your fantastic strikers do you take out of your team (and lets face it, all the big strikers have favourable fixtures) in order to take a gamble on Mancini's striker roulette?

Mancini has a habit of giving fringe players games when such fixtures present themselves. For example, I'm pretty sure Scott Sinclair will get a start.

Now Mancini might say "fcuk it, lets give the fans lots of goals and start Ageuro and Tevez AND Dzeko". But he is smarter than that. It's an easy fixture at the start of a very busy period. Dzeko is unhappy on the bench...will there be a better time to play him in the league than at home VS Reading? Ballotelli has accepted his punishment but is low on confidence...perhaps feed the Reading porous backline to him?

I think Silva or Yaya for now, and if Mancini says one of the strikers will start, I'll probably bring him in.

get rid of Mikel as fast as you can. YaYa and Puncheon are fine.

I am so torn for a captain this week. Ba has QPR, RVP has Swansea and Tevez has Reading.

Ba could misfire, Tevez is a rotation risk and RVP has probably the toughest fixture of the three.

In other news I got in Puncheon & Yaya for Noble & Fellaini.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

I have 4 of my first 11 doubtful (Enrique, Rafael, Bale, Fletcher) and Sterling on the bench who looks likely to be rested.

I think Bale and Fletcher will play, but my defence is in pieces!

Enrique is hoping to be fit for the weekend. Check out his twitter account, think he was back in training.

"Just having some treatment and massage to recover from hard training from yesterday. Hope be back for saturday.can't wait to play again"

Would love it if he came back. Definite chance of points against a mis-firing Fulham.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 607 ✭✭✭BroLo

Yea, I'm hoping he's back. Need to ship out Ceullar for Cameron next week to get some Stoke cover, although I might wait and see if he drops, given the bad run he's in for, but that said Ceullar will still be getting less points for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Stoke have some tough fixtures coming up.

Yeah, but will a bad run for Cameron still give me more points than Ceullar?

I have Sterling but am actually hoping he is resting this GW (18) to guarantee he plays in GW 19.

In GW 18 Man U, Chelsea, Villa and Swansea play on the 23rd. everyone else plays on the 22nd. GW 19 everyone plays on the 26th, apart from Arsenal/West Ham who have no game.

I currently have the bare 11 for GW 19, I should have 12 with the free substitution but I have 3 from Man U/Chelsea/Swansea who must have a high possibility of being rested.

Just watching MOTD now as I didn't have a chance at the weekend. Was thinking that Nasri could be a great little addition at just 8.0 as a cheaper differential to the big hitters. Of course he gets injured ruining my genius. Will keep him in my thoughts come wildcard time in a few weeks though.

Bale & Enrique officially fit again. Both should play so my team is lining up decently enough now.

    93xy1.png

Need to get Ceullar out next week probably, maybe Shorey too.

Any advice? Brought in Puncheon for Noble and Yaya for Fellaini, Sterling on the bench because he's due to be rested, debating putting him back in for Puncheon, only I'm afraid Rogers will leave him on the bench and bring him on at the end? How likely is that if he's rested?

Ideas on if J.Evans will play?

Need to shift out Dempsey and another player in order to get Mata in, need some Chelsea cover

I'm not sure Evans is the greatest idea, United have all their centre backs fit, including Vidic, and SAF has said he will rotate over christmas

He's very likely to be rested, Rodgers said he will be resting him over the Christmas period. I think Puncheon is a better shout than sterling anyway.

I'll be fielding a backline of Enrique, Nelson and Cameron.

And if Fletcher and Sterling don't play, Clark (Chelsea away) comes in.

Not looking forward to my defensive scores this week!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 607 ✭✭✭BroLo

Goin with the team I posted above. Still torn for captain choice, Tevez could run riot, but mightn't even play, and RVP wouldn't perform as well as Tevez if he does start. Ahhhhhhh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

with Rafael out, Smalling could start again, which would help me a great deal.

Start Mata, start McCauley. Bench/replace Fellaini and bench/replace Rafael. Can't say with who as I don't know resale value and how much you have in the bank, or how many free transfers you have.

1 FT. 1.2 in the bank.

Do you think it might be worth playing the wildcard altogether?

Not necessarily, you don't have the strongest team, but using it now would be rather wasteful as you will probably need to use it again in the new year.

I'd say hold off and change your team over a bit of time.

I would wait until next gameweek. You wont have to take the points hit then as you will have the free transfer.

I can't understand why you would take a points hit to do that, you must have absolutely zero faith in Suarez scoring at home to Fulham, Villa are stingy enough at the back as we saw last week, do it next week if you are desperate to dump Suarez.

With the Jan Wildcard coming up, I wouldn't use the other one now. I've been fighting for weeks with myself to take a jumbo points hit but my head has stomped my heart down every time. It's only 2 weeks away now. So I'm hoping my mess of a team can hold tough.

I'm going to have so much fun coming up with my brand new unbeatable team come Jan :D

What do you mean when you say ''take the hit next week''?

Do you plan on making 2 transfers next week?

I think you are confusing people when you say ''take the hit'' if you only plan on making 1 transfer next week.

sorry, the plan was suarez to torres this week but with fellaini going nuts i had to do fellaini to yaya instead. the plan for next week was simpson to nastasic. i still really want torres in my team for the next few games, especially with suarez playing stoke away next week

Torres is still muck in my view, watch him closely at Leeds and he's falling over the ball constantly. Finally scored a tap-in when Hazard unselfishly rolled it to him.

I wouldnt want him tbh, Suarez has cooled down in recent weeks but he'll score again no doubt, better player overall for me.
