Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ah wasn't as bad as the pass from Mata that Emerson should have done better with.

    Opening up a bit now.

Good side Corinthians. Luiz is doing well though apart form the freekick and the backpass.

Keeping an eye on this Paulinho guy we are supposed to be interested in, done ok so far

Eh I think he has been great thus far. He showed great pace to get back for that, had he not have got back it was 1 on 1 with the keeper. Also he was fouled in just before the backpass.

Game is much as expected so far. Chelsea need to try and work the ball in the final third a bit better though. Moses playing like Strurridge so far, shooting on sight.

How does Gary Cahill get away with not half the criticism that Luiz gets? Luiz is definitely a better centre back.

Game is starting to improve, the first 20 minutes were a bit nervy from both teams

    Some save there!

Guerrero taking the law (and ball) into his own hands.

he's probably been our best player so far.

Corinthians look very solid and organised but not great going forward. We need to find a scrappy goal from somewhere to win this. I would like to see our wingers hug the touchline more, there is room out there.

If Chelsea score the game will open up a lot more, Corinthians look very solid though.

Lampard not playing well, very off the pace

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,627 ✭✭✭Sgt Pepper 64

    get oscar on!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,398 ✭✭✭McDave

    Great run by Hazard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,398 ✭✭✭McDave

Moses is a handy enough player, but I wonder can he really deliver at the top level. I'd expect him to be replaced by Oscar before long.

Lacking muscle in midfield. Lampard has threaded through some excellent passes, but he's not imposing himself.

Still, the game is there for the taking if Chelsea can find another gear. Corinthians have to keep up the pressing game for the whole match. If they flag Chelsea may well have a very productive last quarter. Providing we don't concede before then!

Can't afford to let Corinthians get their tails up. Chelsea still a bit non-committal at this point. Definitely need to up a gear. But who's going to break up midfield for us?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,556 ✭✭✭the_monkey

    Corinthian DONKEYS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,398 ✭✭✭McDave

Torres bumped off the ball in the corner. What's he doing out there anyway? That's where Moses should be.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,398 ✭✭✭McDave

And then Moses skies a cross.

Time now for substitutions. Chelsea have gone dead.

Well done to the eleven fat donkeys

Who have played better, kept the ball, passed better, had better chances.
Chelsea have done nothing, mata, hazard and torres have done nothing, we have been well closed down very easily.
    Back to the drawing board
