It's that time of the year again for us to vote on the Rock/Metal Gig of the Year for 2012.

    Previous winners were :-

2010 Kiss @ The O2 (Runner up was Porcupine Tree @ Tripod)

2011 Rush @ The O2 (Runner up was QOTSA @ The Olympia)

Only 1 vote per user, USE IT WISELY ;)

27 bands were nominated, only 8 received more than 1 nomination so they're the 8 who have made the final cut

I voted for Rammstein. I've been waiting a long time to see them, and the gig more than lived up to my expectations. It was a great show and a great set.

But having said that, both Steve Vai and God is an Astronaut were amazing gigs. They definitely made it a harder choice. Steve Vai in particular.

But we all knew who was going to win this one :P

I've heard that the Vai gig was 'Wankology' of the highest order ;)

Think they only got 1 nomination so didn't make the poll.

Chris Cornell at the Olympia was my gig of the year. Absolutely unbelievable.

    MACHINE HEAD @ The Olympia
If you'd all come out to Lamb of God instead of staying home to watch Corrie these results would be looking mighty different :p

Voted for Rammstein in the end, but GIAA pushed it very close!

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
