Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apple sending replacement

So, during the week I noticed that as I picked up my phone, it rattled. This was something the phone never did before. I'm aware of the loose battery on some iPhones, but this rattle wasn't as loud. In any case, apple have agreed to send me a replacement.
My question is, if apple decide that there is no fault with the phone- am I going to be liable for the cost of the replacement. It was either send it in for repair and be without a phone for 2 weeks, or pay for UPS to come bring me a replacement. They didn't offer and other solution (the advisor spoke of authorised repair centres, but her system wasn't showing any)

    So, what do you think?

What iPhone is it and has it still got a warranty. Apple offer 2 options for repair. First one they send a box and UPS bag to you and you arrange for UPS to collect it. usually you have a replacement within a week of sending it off.

The second option they put a hold on a cc and send a replacement out by courier and you basically swap phones with the courier. When apple receive the faulty phone they remove the hold from the cc.

Second option. I'm concerned that they are going to decide that there is nothing wrong with the phone and charge me (I explained the issue to them). I rang and asked them and they offered to replace.

It's not the camera rattle is it?

If it is, not worth your while sending it back.

Tapping it doesn't make the noise. It's not the battery either. Up/Down and Left/Right movement causes the sound. It's as faint as the camera rattle. The sound is in the centre of the phone. The replacement is already on its way.
