If it is the MV Ulysses at 8.05am to Holyhead, you might be better off getting a taxi as there is no direct bus transfer, otherwise this is applicable:
Dublin Port is served by an Express Bus Transfer 7 days a week. The journey time between Dublin Busarus (Central Bus Station) and Dublin Port takes about 15 minutes in normal traffic conditions. The Express Bus Transfer service is operated by Dublin Bus – please click here for timetable.

Fares for this Express Bus Transfer service are currently €3 per adult to and from Connolly station/Busaras and €4 per adult to and from Heuston station. Children under 16 years will be half price. All fares are per single journey.

More info here and timetable here:)

ETA there is no other Dublin Bus service that goes the whole way to the port, closest would be to IFSC or the Luas to the Point Village (still a bit away)

There is a bus to the Ferryport that leaves from the outside of Heuston at 7.00am. This connects with the 8.05am ferry, but it seems to be timed a bit tight for your arrival. To make your connection and get checked in you need to be at the Ferryport not much after 7.30am.

Here's the link to Irish Ferries notice about the bus: http://www.irishferries.com/images/pdf/Express_Bus_Service_2013.pdf

If the bus has gone when you get outside your only option will then be to get a taxi from the rank outside the side entrance to Heuston on St. John's Road.
