Latitude times aren't released yet, supposed to be out tomorrow.

Their Facebook is pretty funny as each and every hype post gets pipped with a "when are the times?" post. Even the Laura Mvula cancellation announcement had some smart alec pop in "do you know what time she isn't playing?".

it's not as if it's a massive lineup, they probably have the times layed out for weeks. They'd wanna go public today. The longer it goes on the more worried I'm getting about big ass clashes.

Whether they release the times three weeks ago or Thursday evening isn't going to make a blind bit of difference. Patience lads

Coming from the other side of the country I'd like to know the early times on friday and get planning what time I'll be leaving, not to mention being able to work out the lineup and my personal timetable. Sussing out bands I don't know where no favourites are playing. Patience doesn't come into it. It's sneaky tactics from promoters trying to squeeze every last ticket out of the public rather than reward those who have already paid with a bit of courtesy.

Some people are making the (probably) valid argument that if they don't know when things start and finish, they can't make plans to go. However, you can pretty much safely plan around the opening time of 1.30pm and finishing time of 11pm.

you can get the 16 from O'Connell and Dame Street every 30 mins or so to Marlay park for no more than 2.50. Return will be more of a problem.

From what I've heard in previous years, even getting the 16 out is a bad idea.

Why is that? Wouldn't be all that much slower than other buses, depending on time I'd imagine if traffic got too much you could walk the last bit of it ,no?

Although we've no stage times yet, this appears to be the running order so you'd have a rough idea from that. From goldenplec.com.

Friday 19th July Saturday 20th July Sunday 21st July
Phoenix Vampire Weekend Kraftwerk (3D Concert)
    Foals Villagers Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Django Django Paul Kalkbrenner Hot Chip
Jake Bugg The Maccabees Frightened Rabbit
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Local Natives Mark Lanegan
Jessie Ware Kodaline SBTRKT (DJ set)
    AlunaGeorge Trentemoller Flume
    Tom Odell Laura Mvula Japandroids
The Cast of Cheers Gold Panda King Krule
    MMoths Mo S O H N
    Petite Noir Young Wonder Drenge
Vondelpark Blue Hawaii Half Moon Run
Matt Corby Hudson Taylor Milo Greene
Dutch Uncles Le Galaxie London Grammar
Stealing Sheep Tribes East India Youth
Marcus Foster Wolf Alice Kool Thing
Soak Mikhael Paskalev Leaders of Men
White Collar Boy Funeral Suits The Minutes
    RHYE Ofei

Going mainly for Kraftwerk on Sunday night and travel is going to be a problem. Even if it's over by 11pm still won't make it back into town for the last bus unless we leave early so will have to get a taxi for major dollars

Is it just me or is Paul Kalkbrenner a very strange one? Doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the Saturday lineup at all. Having him open for Kraftwerk or Phoenix seems to make more sense. I'd say he'll headline one of the tents on Saturday.

well it seems the Heineken Live stage is the 2nd stage, and has announced the following acts:
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Paul Kalkbrenner, SBTRKT, Trentemoller, MØ, Jessie Ware, Mmoths, Gold Panda, Young Wonder and Flume.

so basically a lot of electronic acts.

the Woodlands stage looks too small to be hosting anything too big.

so it would seem any of the "big" acts will probably be on the main stage, so no chance of clashing.

eg. seeing as Hot Chip don't seem to be part of the Heineken Live stage line-up, and they're too big for the Woodlands stage, they'll presumably be on the main stage, along with YYYs and Kraftwerk.

same thing on Friday with Jake Bugg, Django Django, Foals, Phoenix.

for me, whoever's headlining the Woodlands Stage might be the main clashes. could be Local Natives on Friday, or Japandroids on Sunday for example...

Yeah hopefully that is the case. Foals, Django, and Phoenix are the only ones I'm worried about.

Is it just me or does anyone find that Phantom FM have an area at Longitude but seem to give very little airtime to any of the acts that will be performing?

I was at a festival last weekend. its not as hot here as in Ireland but I was out in sunshine all day with no hat drinking beer and completely forgot to drink any water. I think I had mild heatstroke as I was never so sick in my life as I was yesterday.

Please learn from my stupidity. Drink plenty of water and wear a hat.

Whoops, have it on at work and keep checking the playlist but maybe I've missed it. Have heard Django Django and Kodaline but not much else other than Vampire weekend.

    Foals and Jessie Ware :(

making it in to Japandroids first thing on Sunday will be a struggle too.

bit odd having Le Galaxie first thing on Saturday, when they were last on the dance stage at EP last year and are much more of an "end of the night" act....
