11950 is above my budget but if i could get it for 11000 i could stretch to that.

If your a cash buyer you'll get a good deal on it. I'd go in and offer €10,500.

I know this thread is old-ish, but just in case the OP has put off the buying until the new year i said i'd give my 2 cents. Had the 08 auto 2.5l diesel Touareg T2 model for just over a year. Town driving (hilly town), and motorway. Raped the wallet, bout €5-600+ on diesel a month. The touareg itself is lovely, had all the trimmings, black, tint, cream leather all inside, but the cost of services and its downfall in the end with an oil leak that almost wrecked the engine. Sold it 2 days before Christmas Eve just gone and havent looked back. There's another thread on Touareg's too if you need another opinion:

    Thanks or that.
Went to Dublin and test drove a 2007 2.5L model lovely car , when we were on the test drive the engine oil warning light came on followed by another light maintenance i think so we walked away from that one .

Am now looking at Opel zaifra's , which i think would be a lot more suitable .

Here is on i am going to see later on this week @ € 12,250 ,
haven't ruled out just going over to England and bringing one back myself

They have problems with water pumps. I can't remember the mileage but I've known three to blow a water pump within about 2000 miles of one another.

Also have problems with turbo return / idle valves at the higher mileage bracket.

Wouldn't recommend buying a 2007 now. Too old. Maybe consider the diesel? The 2.5 diesel in manual is hen's teeth but a great car.

The 2.5 manual is horrible , the 3l tdi auto very nice. They arent unduely unreliable and you should get 26 mpg which is around 50 euros a week in fuel on average miles. Too large for me though not my bag.
