To be fair when fans on the internet are gossiping about his deviant behaviour before he was ever arrested it's hard not to believe they didn't know anything about the kind of guy he is.

I don't buy that for a second. They may have knew that there was something off about him but I doubt they knew the truth. The gossip on the internet was there for years and no one ever took it seriously and if you were to believe every rumor you read online, well you'd never trust anyone again

I'll still listen to their music. Not a big fan or anything but it's catchy and easy to listen to. Much like a number of other artist who have committed heinous crimes, I won't defend him but I will simply judge the art and not the artist.

Dont be surprised if you hear he is on suicide watch

They shouldn't put him on any suicide watch at all, just let him do it.... sick ****.

I remember many bottles flying their direction when they were on the Metallica / slipknot bill in the RDS...I hate bottle throwers without exeption....but in this case....

You mean you'd listen to art that a paedo created? Would you buy any of Hitler's paintings or hang them in your house?

Side note to this thread but I heard various news outlets reporting today that E news could be in for big trouble as they ran this story alongside a photo of one of the fellas from Steps who shares the same name as Ian Watkins.

Absolutely sickened when I heard this in the news and really surprised that someone in the public eye could get away with this kind of thing up to now.

If I could afford a painting by Hitler a d liked it I would have no issue buying one. Roman Polanski abused a teenage girl and I still watch his films. I'm all for evil scum being punished for their crimes but at the end if the day ill judge the art on its own merits.

I hope they lock him up with some drooling psychopath who hasn't gotten the ride in about a decade.

I don't get it but each to their own. If I found out a singer I liked beat his wife or girlfriend, I wouldn't invest my time or money in them.

There is a a mine field of stuff to emerge from the rock world...All the stories i grew up reading about regarding bands and their exploits are now suspect!

    for example!
lars ulrich was on Howard stern and a fan rang up and said she met lars in 86, she was 15 and had sex with a roadie for a back stage pass....lars face went very awkward....

Apparently HMV are no longer selling their albums, this is extremely unfair to the other members who are losing out now all because of him

You mustn't have very many artists that you can listen to as the majority of bands and musicians have something they've done wrong. I judge the art and not the artist. Will I ever listen to the Lostprophets again, not all that likely given I'm not exactly a fan but I'm not going to leave a room if they come on or make anyone feel like crap for listening to them.

Yet they still sell the music of Gary Glitter.

Is just a pathetic attempt by HMV to try and get themselves some publicity.

If the same sick acts had been committed by an individual whose product sold well in HMV stores I doubt if we would have seen the same action.

Gary Glitter being a good example. Hell we could probably make a long list of names who have been convicted of serious crimes, and then find their albums or films sitting on HMV shelves.

Michael Jackson did actually commit a crime didn't he? one tends to forget that he actually did something and bought his way out.

He was supposed to have had, never actually convicted. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

Doubtful, it's clearly about power for him.

Is it though? That's the one thing that's weird to me. Where is the gratification in raping infants who can't put up a fight? If it's a power thing, I would have thought that overpowering a fully grown woman or man would feed more into that. But a baby that can barely walk or talk? I just don't understand what that's all about. He's got some serious psychological issues, clearly.

As for boycotting the music, it's a difficult one, I guess. I can totally understand why people would feel weird about listening to his music now. Often the art and the artist are inextricably linked, it's hard to judge the art without taking the artist's life into consideration. That said, Phil Spector has a murder conviction and he wrote To Know Him Is To Love Him, which remains one of my all-time favourite songs, and produced The Ronettes and The Crystals and many other artists that I'm not going to stop listening to now because he's now in prison.

Luckily, I don't like Lostprophets, never have, so this isn't an issue for me.

I don't think so. Pictures of him which he posted on adult/escort websites have started to surface online and in the majority of them he appears to be the one being dominated by members of both sexes.

In the emails he spoke about the kid saying he wanted to "make him mine" and said to the mother, "if you're mine, he's mine too"

Although some people are too sick in the head to be fenced in by my brand of pop psychology.
