Best Android budget phone 40 euro off (110 euro price)

Was looking for a smartphone but didn't want to spend a fortune and found Huawei G300 - I doubt there will be any better than this phone at this price.

Phone sold by Vodafone.ie at 150 euro. Only today there is additional 10 euro off and if you port your number there is another 20 off right away. Using fatcheese will give you another 20 euro (still pending for me). So you can get a 150 euro phone for 100 euro.

Huawei G300 can be unlocked by Vodafone staff or online for about 5 gbp.

With G330 you are essentially paying 40 euro extra for a better CPU and that's about it. There is no dev community either.

Dual core vs Single core is a major difference, and worth the extra IMO.

There was no dev community for the G300 when it was released either, it just takes a little bit of time.

G300 is like Orange San Francisco (ZTE Blade) developers love it because it brought something new for a great price. Nobody cares about Orange SF2 as well as G330. It is really an incremental in-between update and will be quickly eclipsed, with much less developer interest than the G300 has gotten. So forget about custom ROMs.

Doh, several people on modaco have said its not IPS screen when I was reading reviews. Its probably worth the extra few quid so, has a front facing camera too.

I ordered a g300 and they cancelled it a few minutes ago.

Moving from a G300 (1Ghz Single core) to a Ace II (800mhz Dual Core) was huge jump in speed and usability IMO.

Be interesting to see if the G330 gets developer support. I hope it does.

.. Vodafone order went through fine, bank account debited but when I check the order status it says cancelled call customer services on 1907.. Lifes too short to listen to hold music so I'll get them on twitter or boards.

You can get the unlock code on ebay for about €6 thats the way I unlocked my g300.
