Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Log book error

I bought a new Moto Guzzi from Motopoint in Dublin (now defunct) in 2007. Now I've moved to the UK I find the wrong frame number has been put down on the log book. It's just that an H has been mistaken for 11, the rest of the number is correct. I need to correct this to get a UK plate...who can help with this? I emailed Motor Tax Office but they're no help. The bike is in the UK & I really don't want to bring it back to Ireland for inspection just because some *** was half asleep when registering my new bike.

Phone your local DVLA office in UK for advice. I've found them very helpful.

AFAIK you will have to present the vehicle for inspection to them anyway. (This used be the case at least)

It is possible to amend an engine number on a UK reg. doc. (V5) just by completing a form. I'm aware that's not your situation but I mention it to show that changing\correcting a reg. doc is not as complicated as one may suppose.

[Edit] Or even better - visit the office if you have one nearby.
