Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Surprised Cluj were seeded and Zenit weren't.

Why? Cluj had more points than Zenit from their group so were always going to be seeded ahead.

13.21 Zenit, ever popular because of their charming fans out next. The pleasure of having their black players abused will go to ... Liverpool

Very tough draw for Liverpool to go any further, anytime I see a result Dnipro seem to be doing very well. All tough locations too. I'd expect Chelsea to get into last 8.

Did yer man just say Newcastle semi-finalists in 2004?

Destroyed by some Didier Drogba lad. I think he went on to be a decent player.

Fancy Zenit strongly to tear Liverpool a new one.

Chelsea will have more then enough for Sparta. They're not up to much these days.

Coz that's what usually happens when Liverpool play in Europe

Don't think Zenit will be as dominant as many seem to think.

Anzhi and Liverpool were fairly well matched in the group stage, and the current Zenit team is certainly not a lot stronger than Anzhi's this term. Better individuals maybe, but not a much stronger team.

Very tough game for Liverpool, one they could well lose over the two legs without it beng any kind of shock, butI really don't see it as being that much more of a challenge/threat than Anzhi.

Plus the Zenit players will be in the middle or towards the end of the Russian winter break by the time the match is played, so whilst they wil be well rested, they will also be weeks without having played a competitive game so there may be a bit of rusty form from them.
