Broke middle finger of right hand trying to "surf" on an ironing board :( Didnt get it looked at for a week after, the very nice Indian doctor had a good old squeeze. "Does this hurt" Nearly decked him!
Broke/cracked at least two ribs in judo when sparing, partner decided to drop the elbow when he tripped me. Full body weight on me. Bastard :(
Scalded myself as a kid turning off a boiling electric kettle, all over right hand, belly and left foot. Had huge blister on the belly. Only marks are slight discolouration on belly, and a good few faint freckles.
All I remember is being in so much pain I could not even walk, had to be carried to the bathroom to be put under the cold shower and put in a buggy to go to the doctors. And I was not a toddler, was sticking out of it.

This thread needs a "nope" or "wtf" warning on it. My knees, balls and little toes are aching in sympathy with a lot of the posters here!

Built a gokart as a kid - pram wheels, wooden frame, low to the ground.
Brother wanted a go on it one day and I was giving him a push. Was just building up good speed when he leaned back, the back of the cart tipped down, bring my fingers in touch with te road - ripped 4 or 5 fingernails clean off.
That hurt. It hurt A LOT.

Can't stop thinking about this & reinacting in my brain with fingers clenched. < vom.>

When I was 16, I went through what I would like to call experimental but really it was just a dumb phase. A very dumb phase.

I had read somewhere that if you injected salt solution into your veins, you would die. I didn't really want to die but I wanted to see what happened. So I made a strong solution, found a needle and injected the solution up my arm. Obviously it didn't get into my veins but the pain!! Holy mother of something was it painful!! It felt like liquid fire going up my arm. I couldn't scream either as I had been doing this 'experiment' while hiding out in the box room (I was in boarding school) instead of being in class for prep, which was a punishable offense.

It was two weeks before I could move my arm from the 90 degree angle it was stuck in and someone started a rumour in school that I had been injecting myself with drugs and the multiple needle points on my forearm didn't help.

    It wasn't a good time.

A few years ago a student doctor had to inject saline solution into my arm before she could start me on IV fluids. Like you, she missed the vein completely but injected it anyway, the pain was unimaginable, I cant even describe it be i was in agony  To make it worse she was playing dumb about why I was in such pain because she was ****ting it about getting in trouble!! That was only mild saline solution, your experience must have been horific

I have no idea what convinced me to do this, but once I had severe diarrhea, from Mexican food, if I remember correctly, afterwards, my asshole was burning like hell, I remember hardly being able to sit up, I have no idea why I even thought of doing this, but I decided to get some aftershave and rub it on there to see what it felt like.
Oh god, literally the most painful thing I've ever experienced, I nearly vomited with the pain.

One for this thread in twenty years time-

My son walking around barefoot just stepped on a thumb tack... took me a few minutes to catch him first before I could calm him down and ask him what happened!

What clown left a thumb tack lying around like that?

    >_>

    <_<

Got a football stud in my eye playing rugby.

Several broken fingers, nose, ribs from rugby.

The worst though was last year, I managed to sprain my right testicle training for a Half Ironman (long distance running in baggy shorts is apparently bad) I thought it was healed until it flared up at the beginning of the run in the HIM race, had to run/walk the next 20 km like I was getting kicked in the nads with every step.

As a 7 y/o I was being taken along to see the first Superman movie. Was up in my bedroom getting changed and was putting on my jeans. For some reason I was going commando (not sure why myself :D) and when I went to zip up I got little Madds caught in the zipper. Very painful but nothing prepared me for what was about to come. Decided to pull the zip up the rest of the way to the top....my God I have never felt pain like it and hopefully never will again. Never got to see the film that day. :o

Most painful thing I've done, and no idea. Probably recovering from surgery, maybe? XD

Most painful thing I've ever inflicted on myself would be getting my nose pierced. Hurt like a bitch (I screamed/screeched) and then passed out for 15 kind or so... I love it now, and but that's one piercing I would not do again!

Impaled my foot on a church railing spike on lesson st taking a shortcut, ended up in crutches.
Fell face first onto a supersur when I was a kid but can't really remember the pain, I must have been 4 yrs old. My face scabbed up after but thankfully no scars from it.
But you know I think I've had more painful cold sores. Got heaps of vaccinations to go to India and they ran me down so much I got 5 cold sores on my lips at once. They throb like a heart beat and every throb hurts.

A few weeks ago i watched a lad drilling a hole into a machine with a cordless drill, pushing full force and bracing himself with his left arm. The drill slipped, swung across left and he buried the drill bit into his left forearm, still spinning at full speed. It went to the butt and as it spun, it knotted a load of skin, gristle and muscle around the bit like a rats nest...

When I finished going aaaaahhhh(just looking at it) we had to get the bit out(which we couldn't do).. . we detatched the bit from the drill, accompanied by lots of howling with pain, then himself and the embedded bit headed off to the big house of pain to get it extracted. Funnily enough, he didn't go for my idea of putting the drill into reverse to get the bit out...

Some painful stories on here but like you, I caught little Jimmy twice. Its like the eye of the hurricane in the middle. No pain but you dont know whether to pull the zip up or down. Could be making it better or worse. Still remember the pain after 20 years

When I was 6-7 my mom called me from another room. Being the hyperactive child I was, I ran to the door, but at the same time she opened the door and the metal handle met my nose full force..

When I was 9 my friend was on a swing and we were testing how far we could kick a ball while on a swing. The guy missed the ball but kicked me straight in the eye. Couldnt see out of my left eye for 2 weeks.

At school later that year, we used to rush down the stairs to have a race to the yard for lunch. I ended up breaking my right arm & as a result of that happening on school property, it was noted down when I was applying for secondary school. The school I wanted to go to declined me because they saw me ask a risk.

have a few accidents and a couple of surgeries but childbirth was the most painful

one baby was turned the wrong way (OP) so painless in the front, contractions just felt like a knife in my back each time, it left me winded each time this went on for 28 hours, I was wrecked by the end of it.
Placental abruption really painful and bleed like something from a horror film, pretty shocking stuff.

Feeding a baby with a cracked and bleeding nipple, or getting bit when little teeth come through- not nice

But you would do it all again for the little bundles of joy you get, bizarre!

I remember taking my 8 and 7 yo,three years ago, to look at and say goodbye to my wife, their mother, for closure, who had just committed suicide after her 11th and final attempt.
Therefore beating and denying me my own exit from this ****hole of existence.
Until they are 18-20 yo and can live on their own without my support,my life is devoted to them, having two successful suicidal parents is a bit more than they deserve.

Its the legal drugs right thats why ?

I think the most painful thing that ever happened to me was losing the brakes on my bike going down a hill hitting into a wall sliding off the saddle and introducing my nuts to a metal bar and old chap to the handle bars then my head to the ground had a huge lump and was knocked out for a while .

Braking my wrist was fairly painful for a few seconds had a spinal tap as well but that was more weird that painful

Broke my two wrists and fractured my thumb all at once while drunk!!

 I thought I was the only one! However I wasn't drunk, just fell backwards with a lot of momentum and force. Was grand for a few mins, sat down but then it kicked in, people tried to help me walk but I passed out, woke up in a world of pain.

Ended up with pins in both my wrists, right wrist broken in one place, left wrist broken in 3 places. The pain when they were straightening out my dislocated left wrist before they cast it in hospital was unbearable, all without morphine.

Having a cotton bud almost pierce my eardrum. I was casually cleaning my ear when, giddy from school, my brother came up behind me and tried to grab me by the shoulders. He missed, instead slamming the bud deep into my ear. I haven't felt pain like it since nor have I ever felt so close to losing all control of myself. Cleaning out the bloody-waxy puss between throbbing headaches over the following days wasn't a nice experience either.

I also impaled my left knee on an upturned copper plumbing pipe one time. That wasn't long after dislocating it and tearing the associated cruciate ligament playing football.

    Most painful thing eh?

I was running through some gravel and I tripped over something hidden by the gravel and landed on something. I have no idea what I tripped over or landed on but it literally ripped some flesh from my knee. I could actually see my knee bone too and I lost a lot of blood. Worst thing was, I was on my own and it was early morning. I just can't explain how bad the pain was. It was like somebody had cut my leg off with a chainsaw. Lying there on my own, I thought I was going here for hours. Luckily though a guy walking his dog found me and called an ambulance. I began to lose consciousness and he started panicking. Got to hospital pretty quick and they had me seen to straight away. Out the next day.
Spent a couple of months in a wheelchair with a cast from my ass cheek to my toes and was in and out of hospital for months. I had to learn how to walk using my leg when I was out of the wheelchair too. Took about a year to recover but I still have a slight limp and always will. The gravel is gone from the park too.

Also broke my nose falling up two steps in 6th year. That was pretty painful.

Hate to rekindle a not so old thread. But this thread came to mind.

But I just spent a week in hospital trying to pass a 8mm kidney stone.

Having a blocked kidney made me pass out several times with pain and I don't think anything could beat it.

    Even dosed with morphine.

When I was about 7 I was saying goodbye to two friends of my parents after they had visited from australia, as I was a child, the man offered a high five to me to say goodbye, I attempted to high five him but missed his hand and full speed high fived my hand into the foldy scissors on a swiss army knife. My mother had to pull it out but the blades had moved after entering my hand so there was some wiggling. I remember just being unbearably upset just by the idea that there was a scissors in my hand. It somehow didn't stick through or cut anything important, I don't think so anyway.

That's definitely not the most painful thing that's ever happened to me, but it's one I remember. A recent sore thing was breaking a few ribs playing rugby. It was a schools 7s blitz and I got tackled awkwardly, played for a couple of minutes and then came off because I couldn't breath with the pain. Told my coach and the few subs there and they all said I must have pulled a muscle in my back, so someone tried to work out a "knot they felt" in my back, cue 10 minutes of someone aggressively massaging my back on a part which was not a knot, but a broken bone slightly out of line with the others. That was excruciatingly sore, and sneezing with those broken ribs was also very sore.

I've never really done any gorey damage with tonnes of blood and ripped flesh which is nice, I hope I don't have anything like that happen to me.
