1mb broadband in rural mayo

    Hi.

    Currently on a 3mb broadband package but the max speed I can get is approx 600-800kb on average have called eircom on many occasions but have got no help on this matter. Don't see why we should even have to pay for this service when my iphone Is nearly quicker with no 3G.

    Is there anyway to request that the phone line be upgraded to get 3mb broadband or higher?

    Not really, line quality and distance from the exchange no guarantee of getting the max speed why it's sold as up to 3mb.
