    Hi,
Have a dinner party next week for 10 and am looking for two simple recipes that are easy to prepare in advance and can be kept warm/ be easily reheated. Ideally, I would like a one chicken and one beef pot that can both be served with rice.

I was thinking chicken/beef stroganof and something else, maybe not curry. was hoping to have prepared an hour/2 in advance and be able to re-heat/ keep warm in oven.

    Thanks.

Chilli is such a great crowd pleaser and can be made days or even weeks in advance, if you want to freeze it. You can serve with rice, nachos, cheese, jalapenos, salad, tortilla breads etc. Everyone loves it.

For the chicken dish, if you don't want curry, how about Chicken a la King from the cooking club? Or you could do a tomato-based chicken stew, with chorizo and chickpeas.

I second this, you could make 2 pots for the table, or if you think you would have a chicken/beef quota in your guests' preference, you could have a chicken roulade as well. The roulade can be pre-made and kept rolled up and tied until re-heating on a low setting and slicing for the meal. Both the chicken and beef can be served with wild rice or pilaf, roast or mash potatoes etc and for the veg, green beans.
Both dishes are of similar 'cuisine' and will even suit each other if served on the same plate.
