Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

thanks - do you mean FQ as in HDip only (I ask because I have training quals but not the HDip)? and do you know what the rates are?

It depends on who your employer is and who your students are. To be honest your own qualifications are probably irrelevant. I work for codubvec adult ed service, delivering FETAC but not to VTOS students. Therefore I get the unqualified rate, around €40/hr. If I was teaching VTOS I would get qualified rate (€43?). If I was teaching a mixture of VTOS and non-VTOS I would get the rate according to which was the majority hours as they can only pay one rate. If I had a CID and taught VTOS I would get my personal rate.

not much difference between the Q and NQ rates then - thank you

I am interested in applying for a job, but they ask for salary expectations and I'm not sure what the going rate is...it's a private college....

VECs pay the above rates, FAS pay more, and the going rate in the private sector seems to be less, around €30 per hour.

A lot depends on the modules you teach and whether there is a shortage of tutors.
