Strumming Patterns!!

    Hey guys,
    can anyone give me a hand with the strumming pattern for the song Over My Head (Cable Car) by The Fray. I really like the song, it was originally played on piano but id love to be able to play it on guitar. The chords are handy enough, it's just the strumming pattern that I can't really nail down..

    Quavers (eighth notes, 1+ 2+ 3+ 4+ etc.)......

    1 +, 2 + , 3 +, 4 +,
    down up, down up, down up, down up

    or all down strokes maybe switch back and forth for variety,
