Hi guys,

Currently putting a thesis together and I'd like the diagrams to look the part. Usually I've hand drawn or made diagrams using powerpoint but I'd like a slightly more professional looking end result for this project.

Does anyone know of any good programmes for making diagrams to the standard of say Nature or another journal?

Something like Visio is decent enough for making 2-D flow diagrams and the like. Might be able to eke some respectable enough looking signalling pathway diagrams from it.

libreoffice/openoffice draw is a free substitute for visio , you can get extra galleries on line

tip - you can use glue points to add more places to join links
