Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Delighted we don't have to play Arsenal on Boxing/Stephenseseses Day given our injury situation. Hope to Christ we beat Reading on Saturday. We owe them a good beating after the two games last season.

I was just looking through soccerway at the global fixture lists for the week, apart from a scattering of Islamic countries and some very minor "Christian tradition" leagues and cup ties no one outside the UK plays football until January 5th.

There was actually a reserve match on this morning on Northern Ireland: Glentoran II vs. Ards, I think.

Nope. Seems bizarre to have a full day with nothing being televised. It is mentioned in the evening on bbc match of the day.

Oh & I did hear that Newstalk had live commentary.

If anyone's looking for an early game, Forest vs Leeds is on Sky Sports 1, coverage starts at 12pm.

I know that, but I think it had been pencilled in for telly, but when it was postponed there was no replacement match.

It's shocking that on st Stephens day/boxing day they don't show more games. What a joke sky coverage is. Anyone know of any sites showing any 3pm kick offs?

Sounds like the west brom game will be delayed as their coach is stuck in traffic, ideal prep!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,623 ✭✭✭double GG

    @OdemwingieP
So much traffic in london we still not in dressing room. Some will have no usual rob before the game....

The WBA coach is still quite far away. A Police Escort is being sought to get it through the traffic but real chance of a delay to KO @ QPR

West Brom game probably will be delayed.

Setanta should really be showing a 3pm match today, they should push for 3pm matches around Christmas.
There never seem to be any decent televised matches around Christmas .

The restrictions on SKY not being able to show 3PM games don't disappear just because its a Wednesday.

Theres no real mega big games on this time of year (TV or not) as the police don't allow it unfortunately. All the fixtures must be those that are regarded by the police as needing the lowest levels of security and suchlike.
So your Liverpool v MUFC or Arsenal v Tottenham games are never going to be scheduled now - its one of the restrictions for the fixture generator person.

Reading v Swansea might be played on a lake ditto Bristol City v Watford in the Championship.

Thats true but the likes of Stoke should not get a look in .
Man Utd vs Newcastle was the pick of the days games and should have been televised instead of the Stoke Liverpool match.
The reverse fixture earlier this year was one of the worst matches of the season,I dont think Stoke managed a shot on goal in the whole match.
