55 D Brady (Liam bradys is called chippy)

    110A Needles

Can you help me with 10 down and 56 d, i think latter is muldoon, this then means solo/oslo is tricky

Hi Leitrim......the latter is Muldoon & 10D is Armenia in relation to Keith Faheys goal there last year.
The only difficulty I have at the min is 75D presuming that 85A is Noble and 91A is asal...........Its probably someone relatively famous but I'm just drawing a blank for the last hour.....! Thks

    88a Drefus
    113a StanJames
    112a Onside
    75d Brady
    101d Sligo

Drefus? assuming 72 down is 'oakley' this doesnt fit?? Also with 101d, does this mean that 97d is 'rovers'?

    Thanks.

And 75D is not 'Brady' as its the one I'm struggling with at the minute. Any ideas?
...Yes 97D is Rovers. The 88A answer is just mispelt. Thks.

*Dreyfus, sorry - the bird that owns Marseille.

I have Brady because Liam Brady's nickname is Chippy. 'Chippy's last' = Brady.

Thanks Steaf, i think 75 D is Brundle as in the F1 racer.

What do you have for 74 a it should be solo, but if Muldoon is 54d, then only Oslo will fit. What do you think. ?

10%?, some people were looking for nearly half the answers I reckon. Still, all of the answers must have been posted at this stage (some several times). Same for the Chequered Flag one. As you say somebody could be stuck on 1/2 which is fair enough, but..... It appears that the challenge (and ensuing satisfaction) of trying and completing crosswords is long gone - the Times/Indo may as well post the answers at the bottom of the page and let people simply copy them in.

    Nearly there.

Two left. Neither should be rocket science.

    1d - is it 'spare'?

58a - lost! 'came before the stars'.

    Think I have the rest.
