    What are you buying now?

I'm holding out for 8110 to fall in price a bit and have reserved 8109 with Art and Hobby, can you believe the Douglas shop was the only one to have the set left, I'm just waiting on it to be delivered.

aye, thats where i picked up my 8109. i was planning on building it today, but it slipped away.

I ordered myself these two bad boys!

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007456EYU/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=bargainwatch-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B007456EYU

I just could not resist on Mines of Moria for that price. So i ordered it today. I did ordered Helms Deep on monday though.
There are no technic sets that i really really want until H2 sets. I would love 8110, but it is on a very price side and i dont think it will go cheap anymore. It will retire soon and price will go only up :(.

By the way, try to avoid non Amazon sellers on amazon.co.uk... I ordered it on monday and it took for them 3 days to put box in to box and dispatch it...
I bough of amazon directly today and after 2 hours it was dispatched. From estimates i will get bouth on Monday.

Well, my collection is not impressive m8. I only came out of a closet dark ages last xmas. So i got only 3 months of my new addiction. :o

For whats its worth, here it is:

    http://www.brickset.com/search/?OwnedBy=shadowhearth

8109, 79010, 9470 is not even opened and i am still waiting on 9474 and 9473.

My main love are still technic sets, but i want to collect all Lotr and hobbit sets. I got the biggest ones out of the way. So should be easier now. No technics until august and new lotr are coming out in may. then new hobit ones later this year too. Damn bad year for me lol. though i will be buying lotr only on sales.

My Collection sofar, be aware the friends sets are my 5 year old daughters so I can keep track of whats around, some of this stuff is unopened lol. I have about 20-30 more sets in parts not listed because I'm still working on making sure they are all intact.

@Shadow, I think you have time on the unimog, I get the feeling its not going to retire anytime soon before the new flagship crane comes out, I'd say you will have another year before the Unimog disappears, it has been down to 125 euro on Amazon.it in the past.

I really hope it's not goi g on sale any time soon. I still need to recover from these losses :D

I really need to get the extension set for helms deep. Ideally maybe two. I sow some really cool mods to helms deep on eurobricks.

@shadow, someone selling this in Cork. 8455.

    http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/toys/4274296

E125 for the Backhoe, while expensive if I lived in Cork I would snap it up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,929 ✭✭✭✭ShadowHearth

Cheers. I heard it was good set, though it is not appealing I me at all. If I would have 120eu spare it would go on other set ;).

Not going to build 8109 today again... Got quite pissed off by my consoles last night, so I got my second gaming PC back in to living room and doing full windows reinstall with all the additional stuff.

Taking damn ages, like always... Hopefully I'll built it Sunday or Monday. So I will free up some space for Lotr stuff :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 102 ✭✭Derek93

    sure they are :p

They actually are my daughters, however I have to say they are very nice sets, the tree house and the covertable car are very nice builds. I don't however like the Friends horse's at all, a big step backwards if you ask me.

If I'm thinking right that advert the guy was looking for e215 for it or I could be wrong, abit pricy I thought.

Well it is nice set, but no way i would pay more then 120eu for it. I would better throw few more quid in and get Unimog.

I'd pay 180 for it, it did retail for 150 shadow so getting it misb for 120 would be pushing it, used I would pay 120 and thats with a box and manuals, while its nice its only 1800 parts not much thats rare and 1 xl motor.

Without box or manual I would stretch to 100 maybe, I like box's and instructions, while I have np with instuctions from a pc or pad the paper is always better for kids to build it.

You'd do very well to get 8258 for €120. The red plates are only available in this set and run at almost €5 each and there are 4 of them, to get the sticker sheet will set you back almost €15 and there are almost 1,800 bits left to get, the motor, LA's, wheels and open center liftarms would run you close to €70-€80 alone without postage and assuming you can get the parts at their cheapest cost. For a discontinued set I'd say 150 second had would be a good price and 200 msib would be fair.

All that withstanding the average 2nd hand price on bricklink is ~165

I love bricklink such a good resource.
