Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes, he has been muck but the goals were also down to poor defending.

    Never rated Shelvey anyhow.

Nobody is talking about the goals, we're talking about how he's a liability right now.

Full backs not getting forward at all

Enrique another one having a poor game so far.

Misplaced passes, losing the ball constantly when trying to beat someone etc.

    Enrique is brutal tonight.

Why couldn't we have controlled the game after scoring - we have controlled it since we went 2 - 1 down

Stoke are showing us how to press in the attacking 3rd

Suarez looks bright and might save us

Funny to see the Stoke full backs swapping positions .

Stoke DNB is a cracking bet, ditto over the total corners for any of Liverpool games. Stoke like their corners too.

I hope someone else followed. Over 11 corners was evens! Should have been set at 13 at least.

Gerrard you waster, Liverpool can't throw away possession with glory shots.

Suso is actually doing rather well.

This is a complete performance from Shelvey.

Would not be surprised to see Shelvey subbed off at the break. Awful, awful performance.

    Omg shelvey

Shelvey is a latter day le tissier without the skill, flair, ability and general usefulness.

Shelvey is having an awful game out there, get him off...QUICK, regardless of his physicality.

Worst aspect about him is he appears to have no awareness of what's going on around him.

Just goes head down with ball and ends up with a weak attempt on goal.

Should have passed to Suarez just there as an example.

Stoke have eased off and we're applying pressure. Only problem is we're up against the league's best defence with the most wasteful of attacking line.

World class stuff from Reina, there, at least.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,662 ✭✭✭Luckycharms_74

Suso having a tough night as well.
Hendo & Sterling for Suso & Shelvey

Ah, well not many teams do.

People bemoan about Stoke and their hatchetmen and probably rightly so, but anyone watching them, and seeing their overall workrate in all areas of the pitch you will see another side of the 'Stoke'.

Walters typified it there, no right to chase that down, Reina makes a mistakes and Whelan nearly scored.

I don't like Stoke and I despise the dark side to their game but their overall workrate and hard work impresses me.

One positive to Sturridge signing....Shelvey's confidence will improve by not constantly being the worst player on the pitch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,789 ✭✭✭✭padd b1975

    No final ball from Liverpool.

  • Registered Users Posts: 845 ✭✭✭skydish79

Just not Shelvey's night, suso would seem a better fit in that position

Sure to see allen and sterling on in the 2nd half

I would halul Shelvey, Suso and Enrique off.

Furious with Shelvey and Enrique in particular.

Reina looking braindead for that clearance - he had about 10 fcuking seconds to make it.

Despite hpw fragile we look at the back, we do look like we could ge a goal with Suarez they way he is.

What the heck is Cole doing on the bench?

I'd certainly get Hendo on for Shelvey.

Never should be losing that FCUKING game.

Absolute gift of a fooking peno and we still can't capitalise.

This performance is worse than the Villa defeat - at least we controlled the game then.

A little bit more of us finishing moves and a little bit less cowardace when the ball is in the air and I'd be happy.

    I disagree.

Bar the goals and maybe one or two other incidents I think we are actually the better side.

I just can't stand the cowardace of conceding so soon after an absolute gift in the first minute.

Jeez give me the two footed, fiery hot headed Shelvey rather than this half arsed apathetic Shelvey.

Next goal the winner in this one.

I wouldn't be upset if Shelvey went back on loan to Blackpool tbh.

    Class defending from Squirtle there.

What does it say about Rodgers if he keeps picking Shelvey?

While Sahin can't even get a look in.

Stinks of a man who hasn't a clue

    Gerrard penalty was great though.

    It's terrible coverage.

True but I know which one I want to see right now, and to think Rodgers was going to build something around him.
