    Coming to the end of the year. Think we should do a round up of the best of the best. Could you put up your vids, pics, results you thought were outstanding form 1012. I'm going with these two. Malanichev attempting 490 using squat stands & Savickas's WR log lift. WRs, PBs, Pics, vids, results, whatever is good.

    Agreed on Malanichev - although it was failed it was a particularly impressive attempt walking it out and all

    Malanichev's walkout looked like a max effort, I dunno what part of his brain he turned off to make himself attempt to squat it!


    Ilya Ilyin's performance in London. You could tell there was no doubt about him succeeding just from the way he swaggered up to the bar. It takes a special kind of oddball to approach a world record lift at the Olympics like it was an 80% warmup.
