Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone tell the typical cost of repairing the proximity sensor on an iPhone 4?

    Thanks

Has the screen been replaced? If so chances are the proximity sensor is fine and the new screen wasn't fitted correctly/uv stick was removed.
If not and it needs a new one I'd imagine €30-€40 depending on where you go

Pretty sure it is the former - since the screen has been replaced (twice actually). So as you say the sensor is prob fine and its just needs that little shield to stop too much light getting in ( I think)

So in that case his much am I looking at to do the job? I don't want to do it myself as I am not comfortable opening up the phone

I'd imagine the same about €30 as it may require the screen is removed and may take some time
