Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Speaker or antenna repair question...

    Hi,

I have a iPhone 4 which (admittedly) has been through the wars. After a drop recently, there is severe crackling or complete silence during calls. If I shake the phone slightly during a call, I can intermittently hear the other end (or ring tone if call is unanswered), or crackling, or silence...so it appears some connection is loose or broken. It always seems to revert back to complete silence. Loudspeaker has the same problem, so I don't think it's the in-ear speaker.

Interestingly though 3G is fine, as is making calls using Viber, etc...so it must be something related to the antenna -- although I thought a dodgy antenna would affect 3G too. I'm not sure...

Can anyone suggest to me what the problem might be? And if I could fix it?

Also, I am fairly handy with most electronics/computers, etc. -- is this something I could repair myself? I imagine I have all the tools necessary, unless Apple have special screws/whatever...

    Thanks for the help!
