The max temp at Cork on the 5th was 10.8 and here's a shocker, Jerry Seinfeld had that very prediction ... okla was very close at 10.9. Tae laidir and omicron are in on the full ten points as well.

The warmest I've seen in this mild spell is 12.9 C but if you know of anything higher, post it.

Havent checked again but i think Shannon hit 13.1, possibly on Thursday.

IMT was at or above 8.5 C through first eight days, but will probably be closer to 5 by Sunday. Rainfall so far looks to be not far from normal with wide variations and sunshine probably reached normal after running behind until yesterday. I will try to track down some more definitive values for the mid-month report.

Mullingar had -3.3C up to 6am this morning according to ogimet so a good chance it dropped lower over the next few hours

It was back up to -2.5 at 6 a.m though so that might have been it. Wonder if MT Dillion got low, still showing -2 on Met for 9 a.m.

MIN for month was a few days ago -3.4 at Moore Park (but, edit 0500h Sunday, -4 at Athenry on 0500h obs)

IMT through 11 days was 7.2 C and is now dropping sedately down through our list of forecasts. Question is, where will it end up?

My guess is 5.0 or thereabouts, but it could get lower at some point.

Not all that likely that the earlier MAX of 13.2 (thanks J.S.) MAX will be beaten but, remotely possible I suppose.

Quite a dry month so far, didn't calculate but some stations have had barely ten per cent of the normal to date, western stations are running closer to normal but are mostly somewhat below, so would estimate we are near 50% and with generous sunshine for January (120% at least).

M.T i think we got a 13.2, not that it would make much of difference. Finner is in my mind as unlikely as it sounds.

Athenry reported -3.9 C in daily data for Sunday, don't know if they will count that one (not that we have hit the actual min yet, I suppose one of these days the Siberian might arrive).

IMT at 6.6 after 14 days.

PRC at 50% and SUN 150% (rough estimates).

Trend -- IMT towards 5.0, PRC towards 80% and SUN towards 130% by next report on 22nd.

Update on IMT shows 6.0 likely 5.9 after today.

Update on rain factoring in what has fallen today closing in on 80% of pro-rated normal (seems low I suppose but that's based on west at normal, north and east between 50 and 70 per cent). Will take 2-3 more events like the recent one to pick up the pace, snow streamers will tend to miss almost all of the 11-station grid used, and anything in east Ulster is beyond my grasp so to speak.
