Cheque clearing over Xmas

Hi all. Lodged a BOI cheque (wages) into my AIB account last Thursday afternoon (Dec 20th). I had hoped it would be cleared today but no joy with all the BH's over Xmas. Anyone know when it should clear - any chance of it happening tonight for the weekend? Thanks.
