Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, our kid threw out our tv remote control and its a bit of a nuisance having to manually do everything. I'm looking to know where I could get a replacement. The TV is a samsung BN68-01187D, but I was also thinking of getting a single remote that would work for our UPC digibox, Sony DVD player and the Samsung tv. Any ideas or links to a suitable replacement or single remote would be great.

If you need something in a hurry go to the pound shops and get one of the SKY clone remotes. Won't do all the functions but it's probably the easiest to setup since the codes are online

    http://sky.uebv.com/ - look up codes

Lidl / Aldi did some universal remotes that have macros and learning

Avoid the Tevion MD 81302 one - if you press the joystick too quickly it goes into macro mode

Logitech harmony remote is what you are after. I've tried many universal programmable remotes and these are the easiest to set up and use. There are many to choose from, just pick the one that suits your budget.

Just wondering where I'd've able to get one of these Logitech harmony remotes? And would it have to be one that costs in excess of 100€?

This is the one that I have. I picked it up from Argos last year but they don't seem to stock them anymore. Probably best to try Amazon UK or Dabs.ie

You can program the UPC remote to control your TV (and if it's one of the older silver UPC remotes, your DVD player too). See page 8 of the manual here:http://www.upc.ie/pdf/DVRManual.pdf
The process is a bit fiddly, but it's worth a shot.
