Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure about Welbeck leading the line on his own. Other than that happy with that team
Relying on Welbeck to score our goals ? Don't see the point in resting RVP today, he's going to have to come on and bail us out

Putting money on a united comeback with Van Persie scoring

We won plenty of games with Welbeck leading the line last season in fairness.

I'll never understand when a manager wants to rest a start player, he leaves him on the bench possibly coming to a rescue, instead of starting him and subbing him off when the job is done.
Or just win without him and let him have a much needed rest and avoid that 5th yellow card...

Not forgetting he was nearly killed recently. :D

Everyone who captained him is crying :D

Not suprised at RVP on the bench, can come on if things arnt going well, but considering West Brom have been a bit of a suprised package this year, I'd prefer having RVP starting then subbed off.

Cause he might not need him at all and so he gets a complete rest rather than a guaranteed 60mins+

I doubt many of those were with someone playing off him who is far from fully fit?

I have a feeling Welbeck will do well today, he's well rested and should be chomping at the bit after seeing RVP and Chica scoring the last game. I can see him scoring today. Kagawa will feed him all day.

Great to see Cleverley and Carrick in the middle.

I think it's Ridgewell at LB? If so Valencia should destroy him for pace everytime. No Jonas Olsson for them is a plus also.

    Should be an interesting game.

    Very, Very risky.

And its where we have thrown away points in the past.

Dropping Rooney last season for a game we lost, and plenty more in seasons gone by. These decisions can bite you in the arse and looking back can be the reason titles are thrown away.

WEllbeck up front against an inform team this year is worrying....

Val is well overdue a good game going forward. Smalling being a less offensive RB may help him as he will be looking to use the overlap a lot less.

Yeah I can see what you are saying, but then with RVP and Chicho playing its not like we have been putting teams away with ease.

Rooney being out is the biggest loss for us

Really excited to see Kagawa back but I hope we're not rushing him, last thing we want is him getting injured again.

Welbeck is due a big performance.

Welbeck and Cleverly work well together, with Kags in there we should be seeing some good quick passing and movement, I'm optimistic.

Yeah thats what im hopeful for. However, the pitch maybe a bit of a mess and be a bit too slick.

Should just sell him back to Dortmund. Only a token asian advertising midfielder.

Fergie really, really hates FF on another note!

Delighted to see Kagawa back. Hopefully tactics have been changed a bit to suit his style of play today, instead of the game passing him by and our wingers doing nothing again

Goddamn, now that's a fast and fluid attacking team, on paper anyway. Hopefully Kagawa is the one tasked with bailing Valencia out and Welbeck stays in the box :P

On another note, BIG game for Welbeck today.

Come to think of it, when was the last time Welbeck actually played as a striker?

Well that's why he's on the bench, i'd say. With the rain and all the water on the pitch, Van Persie could have drowned

Best change your username to something more appropriate then. ;)

If it is any consolation I still have a pm saved from when a total idiot messaged me about being racist in the nature & birdwatching forum. My racist act was to recommend niger/nyjer seed as a method of attracting goldfinch and redpoll to a feeder.

Best thing is to just ignore the idiots who try to paint a comment as something it is not.
