Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool travel to Loftus Road on the back of a mauling on Stephens Day by Stoke City, while hosts QPR desperately need a win to stay in touch with the teams above them in the relegation zone.

QPR's last 6 games sees them having won 1, drew 3 and losing 2.

Liverpool have won 3 and lost 3 of their last 6 games.

Will Arry's men be able to replicate last seasons heroic victory that saw the Hoops's come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.

Will 'The Rodgers' stick with his lovechild Jonjo Shelvey as his midfield pivot and can Raheem Sterling come back to haunt the club that sold him to Liverpool?

My prediction is QPR to win 2-0 despite Liverpool having 238% possession, 734 shots on goal(600 on target), 1,239,499 passes and Luis Suarez being denied 45.8 penalties.

    Expected teams

    QPR

Cesar, Fabio , Ferdinand, Hill, Traore, Mbia, Faurlin, Mackie, Taarabt, Wright-Phillips, Cisse.

    Liverpool

Renia, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Shelvey, Shelvey, Shelvey Shlevey, Shelvey, Shelvey Suarez.

A chance for Rodgers to finally move ahead of Hodgson in the games won category. Both currently have identical records after 31 games (13 wins, 9 draws, 9 losses. Win percentage of 41.94%). I think he'll do it today.

QPR will be fired up for a few minutes before the pea sized hearts of their mercenary's kick in after a Liverpool shot on target.

    Liverpool to win.

    Henderson should play.

Shelvey's had a dismal time of late and Hendo has actually impressed on his brief appearances under Rodgers.

Also like to see Raheem come in for Suso and rip it up against his former club.

According to Sky Sports News Rodgers has been sent home so won't be on the bench today. sick apparently.

'Onest 'Arry's men to lose on everything but goals scored.

Big get well soon shout out to 'The Rodgers' too, who is probably following the match thread from his sick bed.

Hearing a rumour that the Liverpool team is as follows:

Reina. Johnson, Skrtl, Agger, Enrique. Allen, Henderson, Gerrard. Sterling, Suarez, Downing. So, if true, no Lucas...or Shelvey :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭G.K.

I quite like the idea of Allen and Henderson as a pivote. Would prefer to have Sahin in there though, although I realise he still has an injury.

    No Lucas? Is he injured?

Could be caught out between the lines by Tarrabt.

Lucas is coming back from a year out (effectively), giving him a week off won't hurt in the long run.

    An away win,
Hmm hard to grasp, Not sure how we will be breaking down a team that has conceded 33 goals in 19 games
We have conceded as many goals away from home as they have at home
And none of this makes sense

You mean you thought the club website may have been lying when they said he was sent back to Liverpool?

Obviously expecting one of those pro wrestling type 'x is not here in the arena tonight' only for him to come running out with minutes to go and cost us the match.

theres going to be some sideways passing going on in midfield with allen & henderson, probably the most uncreative & toothless midfield in the league
