Is it possible to unlock an O2 Hotshot

My 3 broadband will not charge , - I have an old O2 Hotshot ,- Am out of contract and own it .

Can it be unlocked to take 3 sim card ?

Tried this lately for the craic - worked well - only takes a few minutes

Quick rundown of unlocking that way :

The unlock code is in the little Hotshot itself.

Remove the SIM from the Hotshot and connect it using USB cable

Use Qmat to get the data file out of the Hotshot and onto your PC

Search through the file for the unlock code

Put the "alien" SIM card into the Hotshot and start it up

Go to the management webpage of the hotshot and put in the unlock code.

No ..... it should be free using this method .....
