Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Losing Talib was huge in this game. He ties the whole Patriots secondary together. Without him they look like last year's Patriots secondary.
    Without the turnovers!
I haven't heard Gregory's name once today! Cole on Boldin ffs!

No way he'd be independently cleared to go back in after that!

Same as the RG3 situation in all likelihood, both player and coach don't want him to be ruled out so he says he's ok and the coach 'takes his word for it'.

With what we know about concussions now it's sickening to see. We need to have independent medical officials that can force a check-up on players that take hits like that.

Brady's rarely this far behind with 10 mins to go. Will be interesting.
But we've experienced what he's like when he needs to step it up enough times to know it's possible!

Pollard's record of injuring Patriots is bizarre. He's done it with 3 different teams as well. Remarkable.

That could well be game for the Ravens.

Not with Tom Brady. 2 score game.

Still all to play for imo but Brady will have to be near perfect from here on out.

Did Ridley go back into the game after the hit. He is now done they kitted him down.

I'm guessing Greg Williams is happy Pollard never played for the Saints! That would have cost him a lot!!

Just checked it there, thought they had to have independent neurologists at games, turns out it hasn't come in yet!

I really wish they'd stop showing the hit.

    Paully,

Your killing us here. Stop with the jinxes already.

One of the colleges in America (possibly Texas A&M) has developed a technology that can be fitted to helmets that can flag strength of a hit. They say it would be possible to use it to flag if a player has suffered a certain level of impact and need to be removed from the game

You're in field goal range already within about 30 seconds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,966 ✭✭✭Syferus

Now they take him out? Why the hell can't they just do this from the beginning and not be sent obviously concussed players back on to the field with a bunch of people trained to hit them?

EDIT: the commentators clearly said Ridley was going to come back in before they said he was out. There's clearly been a mis-communicatoon or the Patriots reconsidered their original decision.

I didn't see he come back on. Or did I miss something. He was sitting on the bench with no helmet on and next he was in the locker room.

Poor. Brady could have run for it.

Super defense by the Ravens. I love seeing Haloti Ngata closing on people in space. He is such a mover for such a big guy.

Brady really has no running ability whatsoever

Vereens terrible drop should put a cork in it

He'd have been hit if he'd gone for it. And hit hard.

He wouldn't have made it. He runs like an 80 year old man.

Brady looks like he is a fan of horizontal jogging.

Heard the NFLPA head in an interview (on ESPN First Take :o) say they want independent neurologists but the owners won't accept it. Sickening stance to take and more people need to stand up and shame them into accepting it because as long as this is left in players' and coaches' hands you're going to see some very stupid things happening.

    Ugh why call 2 passes.

The worst thing about this is how often over the next 2 weeks the phrase Harbaugh Bowl is used. As if the biggest game in American sports is some family get together. It'll bug me.

The worst thing is gonna be them being asked question after question about growing up together and the general prying into their personal lives.

Flacco snpping the ball with 10 seconds on the playclock on first down was a very poor decision.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

Sorry but had to laugh at this, Robert Mathis on twitter:
Pollard is a problem for N.E....wouldnt surprise me if they acquired him next year or something

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,954 ✭✭✭counterlock

Good stop, nice to see Flacco get touched too for a change
