Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The worst thing about this is how often over the next 2 weeks the phrase Harbaugh Bowl is used. As if the biggest game in American sports is some family get together. It'll bug me.

Agreed. It'll be mildly irritating. Although they'll play it down, Jim and John that is.

Although I'm not writing off Tom Brady yet.

I'm sure both of them will but an end to that fairly quickly, a lot of it has already been covered! Media day will be the big day but the players will get more attention then!

Seriously, what the **** was that? Shotgun, no hint of run, sack and two incompletions? Caldwell picks bad times to have these brain farts (see timeout against NYJ in 2010/11 playoffs)

Sorry but had to laugh at this, Robert Mathis on twitter:
Pollard is a problem for N.E....wouldnt surprise me if they acquired him next year or something

They should. The more interesting question would be: Would Pollard play for the Pats? :D

He'd have been hit if he'd gone for it. And hit hard.

I dunno, even looking at the replays if he didnt hesitate and just went for it he had the angle imo

Make them take another two minutes to score Baltimore, thats all you should need to do.

    Be merciful for christ sake

So the 10th best offence in the history of the NFL has managed 1 td from 5 trips to the red zone tonight. Wonderful.

I think he'd miss trying to do as much damage to those guys as possible! God, imagine how awkward the first day of camp would be....'So hi guys, I'm Bernard, sorry about the knees, ankles, concussions....start afresh?''

Im actually like a hormonal woman here tonight! ****ing sick of this, I know I should be happy to get to the playoffs and championship games with such regularity but **** me they are just heartbreaking.

Im sick of having such a **** defence. No Gronk has been huge too of course.

I thought Lloyd was supposed to be our deep threat!? Not one single deep ball to him.

Ah C'mon. You guys have Ray Lewis. Getting a personal text from Ali is just being greedy.

Brady never really put trust into Lloyd. Taken him long enough to trust Lloyd with short to mid passes. When it comes to Long passes forget about it.

Just 136 passing yards from Brady. That's something you don't see often.

It makes no sense. He's too fragile go across the middle and its pointless having him if he is not going to be thrown to deep

    Wow, what a stat

The Patriots are 67-0 at Foxboro in the Brady era when leading at half time

The offense has only put 13 points on the board. This loss is on them not the D. Patriots score over 30 points a game normally and the D have not given up enough points for us to normally lose a game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,966 ✭✭✭Syferus

If the Ravens really do win one for Ray Ray this will be 52's greatest ever stroke. Announce your retirement before the playoffs, give a team in a very obvious funk a reason to breathe new life into their season. The Ravens believe the emotion of the moment now and they will be very hard to stop in New Orleans.

I'd hope if they do win the owner would let Ray lift the Lombardi first but such attention to optics might be beyond the awareness of the old white man's club that are the NFL owners.

Well Done Ravens. Better team won the game. Good Luck in the Bowl.

Its on both sides of the ball. The team as a unit were poor.

As seven nation army being sung by jubilant ravens fans rings out around gillette, i might point this out:

49ers made the switch to Kaep and Ravens fired Cam Cameron. It's the ballsy decisions that lead to Super Bowls. Belichick would tell you that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,139 ✭✭✭Red Crow

Joe Flacco outplays Tom Brady again in this game.

That surprises me. I think NE will feel unlucky here. There is no doubt the Ravens have played a good game. But New England could of been more ruthless in the 1st quarter. Silly clock management at the end of the first half cost them a shot too. That Pollard fumble and interception were just unlucky. 99/100 neither happens. Talib going off was a huge factor too. A lot of guys didnt perform. I think Wilfork got called out once today.

Ultimately the Ravens deserved this. That OLine is a rock. Pats pass rush never really bothered Flacco bar once or twice. Flacco was just awesome today. He made a couple of bad throws but he adjusted well and dominated in the end.
