Rain 133.9mm since midnight and still going - local flooding a real problem, many junctions on N11 closed so a miserable evening for commuters in Wicklow and Wexford.

calm now but there was torrential rain for a while earlier just after 5 o clock and again baout an hour ago in arklow. i never saw rain like it

Lostinashford are you sure that rain total is correct? Wicklow weather in Ashford is only reporting 70mm which is still a huge figure.

Can only give you what my guage is reporting, I'm butting up to the uplands and quite often seems to be higher than stations closer to the coastplain.

Broadband dropped a couple of times today but the totals are as recorded on my base station here http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=IWICKLOW6
