Need Mata and Suarez to run riot tomorrow. They both have the fixtures. Will probably jinx myself but IF they do and Walcott/Cazorla get a few more, might be pushing 100.

Of course I won't but I will use the power of positive thinking lol.

Santi subbed, and out of my team too

Went with Suarez over RVP as captain. Now I'm a tad concerned. :pac:

Ditto. My Mata to Cazorla switch for the last two gameweeks was a big failure.

Time to load up my team with players who are going up in value and play my wildcard.

Puncheon still really threatening the Arsenal goal.

He's a far bigger goal threat than Sterling IMO.

happy with walcott if he gets the 3bps. i''ll live with 2. doubt he'll get the goal awarded.

Not a hope will he get 3 Bps. Do well to get 1

He doesn't deserve any, he was sh1t like the rest of the arsenal team.

Great return from Walcott. Considering the amount of people went with him over RVP as captain, I was happy that he gave a points return but a minimal one.

I considered making him captain all morning but whenever I've expected Arsenal to hammer a team in the past, against Norwich for example, they haven't delivered so I decided against it.

Walcott is exactly like Bale for me. A player who will score great hauls but who I can't see being consistent.

Disaster captaining Walcott over RVP. Need big games from my last few lads tomorrow.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 15,239 Mod ✭✭✭✭FutureGuy

That'll do nicely I guess. Enough for Walcott for those who own him but plenty for those who captained RVP over him.

57 which should push to 67ish with bonus. Mata, Suarez and Azpeuticila (sic) to play.

However, there is talk RVP will lose his assist so that could be a big swing.

Bad bad week, 38 points. Torres and Fletcher to play tomorrow but I'm not expecting much. If Ba, Mata or Suarez run riot (again) it will only compound my misery.

I doubt anyone can say for sure what he'll get, but at least 1 is guaranteed.
He doesn't deserve any, he was sh1t like the rest of the arsenal team.

He didn't play all that bad and that cross showed great mentality, but that's just a personal opinion.

I think Wenger subbing out Podolski so early and putting in Gervinho was a mistake. Gervinho was obviously trying to impress instead of playing team ball. Completely selfish ball hog.

Sagna was the worst liability and I solely blame him for Arsenal giving up a goal, could've been two because of him.

Got captain choice wrong but cant complain overall. 61 with Mata and sterling to play

42 points with Mata, Suarez, Cuellar and Torres left to play.

45 with Baines, Nelsen, Pienaar and Suarez to play.

    WC activated

Bonus predictions courtesy of the BAP CHAP on FFS...

Kacaniklic 3, Ruiz 2, Berbatov 1 (in the mix Hughes, Hangeland)
    Weimann 3, Routledge 2, Benteke 1
Dawson 3, Adebayor 2, Pogrebnyak 1 (in the mix Naughton, Dempsey)
O’Brien 3, Noble 2, Reid 1 (in the mix Martin)
Van Persie 3, Hernandez 2, Evra 1 (in the mix Evans) (RVP 2 if he loses his assist)
    Zabaleta 3, Aguero 2, Milner 1
Ramirez 3, Vermaelen 2, Puncheon 1 (in the mix Walcott) (very tight behind Ramirez)
Benteke, Aguero and Noble less than maybe expected due to theory that penalty ppi is less than goal ppi, e.g Berbatov v Lambert in gw19.

How likely is Rvp to lose his assist?

I'd be shocked if he does tbh, why would he lose it? Players get assists after the keeper saves a shot and someone gets the rebound, so it would make no sense if RvP lost his for what is a much smaller deflection.

54 with Skrtel and Cuellar to play. Hope its 0-0 tomorrow. Im guessing its a high scoring week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,936 ✭✭✭AdpRo

Shocker but sort of expected it. 24 with Cuellar, Azpilicueta, Mata, Ba, Suarez (C) left, need Suarez and Ba to repeat last gameweek!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,579 ✭✭✭prettyboy81

51pts with Fellani, Suarez & Sterling today plus bonus pts hopefully for RVP, Benteke, Silva & Walcott.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,535 ✭✭✭SickBoy

I can't understand why people don't expect Walcott to be awarded the goal as he took the free kick and if no one touched it, it would have been a goal.
Is that not the rule? He has a shot on target and it is deflected beyond the keeper by a defender, should be a Walcott goal.

    Was clearly not a shot

    From FPL website:
Bonus points will be awarded on the Monday morning after the weekend matches are played. Any matches played on a weekday night will be awarded on the following morning.

Should get our BP's late tonight then like any weeknight right? No sign of them yet....

Wonder, can anyone beat 11 from 4?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

    1. It was a cross. 2. If the defender didn't touch it, Koscielny would most likely have scored. 3. Had Koscielny also missed it, the keeper collects it easily.

Under no circumstances would it make sense to award the goal to Walcott.

RVP gets 3. Walcott 2. None for Puncheon.

    RVP-3
    Benteke-2
    Evra-1
    O'Brien-3

Now come on Rodgers don't play Sterling tomorrow, or Benitez don't play Apilicueta, Torres or Mata, so O'Brien can come in for those 15 points!

walcott got 2. that's something. zaba got the 3. beautiful. although having seen united's 3rd goal i expect the assist to be removed from vp, there was a definite touch outside the box from a Wigan player from his free kick. as per the rules, of course

78 with Fellaini, Mata and Suarez to play and Begovic to come in with 2.

62 has been my lowest score in the past 4 weeks. More green arrows surely.

Don't have Puncheon but have the other 2 and Evra got one also. Broke 1,150 now with 3 to play. Bad week but could be worse considering I didn't captain RVP and only have 9 players scoring points this week.

    Wildcard badly needed!

77 points. Quite delightful. My Gibbs transfer didn't work out but ya'll have that.

RVP is incredible. If anyone can do well without him then they deserve to be applauded.

i have to say, if anyone doesn't have him, they should just bite their tongue and pay the 14m for him in the wildcard. well worth it. he's 1st today was just superb

So what happens when players score from crosses they they clearly never meant as a shot on target? Where in the rules does it say the player has to intentionally mean to score in order to to be awarded points for scoring a goal?

as per Arsenal's goal, i don't think it will be given to Walcott, but the way they award own goals or not isn't clear at the best of times, hence some confusion. i think his free kick will be considered a cross, and not a shot, and as such will be just assist. happy with the 2bp he got nevertheless, moves me to 75 for the week with Mata and Sterling to go, Chico and Zabaleta bringing me in 15 each was lovely

If Walcott gets awarded a goal for that then FPL will have to go back a few weeks and give Johnny Evans' own goal as a goal to Danny Simpson. I doubt they'll do that.

56 points so far, happy enough with that. Mata and Ba to go. And Clark to come in with another epic 0 points from the bench.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 15,239 Mod ✭✭✭✭FutureGuy

The bonus points have been kind. 2 for Walcott and Berbatov and 3 for Zabaletta and RVP.

    70 with 3 left.

66 after bonus points with, Mata, Cuellar, Ashley cole and coloccini

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,290 ✭✭✭Oregano_State

After a horrible 43 at the weekend, I'm now on 65 after BP with Mata and Torres to play. I took a 4 point hit to get Walcott and Lambert in for Tevez and Nolan. Evra is proving a really good call by me back in GW 15.

50 after bonus with torres, mata and cuellar to play tomorrow. better than last week anyway.. afraid of suarez hitting big tomorrow

What happens in that case is that the crosser gets the goal, assuming the ball goes from his foot to the net, with no interaction in between. In this case, Walcott did not put the ball directly into the goal.

It is a grey area, but I think in the vast amount of cases, common sense can dictate where the points should go.

81 with Cuellar, Mata and Luiz still to play. I needed a good week after the disaster that was last week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,091 ✭✭✭brian plank

66 with cuellar, mata, sterling and suarez to play. hoping for 0-0 after 61 minutes, cuellar to be taken off before suarez scores a hat trick, all assisted by sterling.

kacaniklic is my third sub :(
