Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was wondering if UPC offer this feature?

We have a knackered old NTL box that resets itself if you change the channel too quickly, its generally on its last legs. We can't record or access On Demand features either.

Is there any way UPC can upgrade our box to a new one?

As far as I'm aware, UPC always owns the box, unlike Sky where the customer owns the box. Surely this means that they are obliged to replace it for you.

Depends on what your looking for.

If there's actually a fault with the box UPC might replace it free of charge, you'd have to ask them though.

If you simply want to swap a perfectly functional NTL box for a UPC one (which will give you On Demand) they'll replace it but you'll have to pay the self-install charge of €45.

If you want to replace it for a PVR (i.e. a box that records), not only will you have to pay the self-install charge AND pay an extra €3.75 per month on top of your existing package.

I should also point out that if you're having problems changing the channel...UPC boxes suffer from an annoying "feature" whereby if you change the channel too slowly you end up on channel 100 (Info TV). Seems to be a deliberate part of the software and its really annoying.
