CRT problem

Ok so I was playing away on my CRT when it kinda crapped out and the colours went really saturated and the bottom corners were really fussy. Fortunately I was able to fix this but just pressing a display button on the remote. Must be some other mode for the TV or something but there is some pin cushioning on the right hand side of the screen now that I never noticed before. Its nothing severe but its just slighty pushing the image off the left hand side

Is there any way to adjust this on a normal TV?

RGB pushes the image off the screen to the left like that. Only way to adjust it is to get into the service menu of the tv.

    Thank you!

I was wondering why I didnt notice it before. Thanks for just assuming I was using rgb too.

I cant get into the service menu though. Even the volume doesn't show up on screen when its adjusted :S I can faintly see shadows of bars on screen but no idea how to fix that. It was a free TV so I dont really mind

If the image wasn't pushed slightly to the left then you were probably playing games in composite without realizing! :D

What kind of TV is it? You should be able to find the service menu access commands somewhere online.

its a Panasonic TX24A1re. The remote is a TNQ8EO428-1, one of those ones with the 90's style door on the bottom of the remote. Looking now but not having much luck

Try searching for a generic Panasonic CRT service menus. One of them might work.

    Here's one that's worth a try -

Hold down the {VOL -} button ON THE TV.
Press the {RECALL} button 3 times on the remote.
The Service Menu will be displayed.

Use {1} {2} on remote to navigate main menu items.
Use {3} {4} on remote to navigate sub-menu items.
Use {VOL+} {VOL -} on remote to change item value.

Power off to exit service mode and save.
