I have been getting some quotes for a BER assesment and it seems that the quotes include this registration fee. Could someone please explain what this is and why I am expected to pay it?

    Thanks! :)

A fee is required to be paid to SEAI for each BER registered with them. The BER is for your benefit and hence you should paid for it . Some guys may include it with their fee others will detail if seperatly. Either way you don't get your BER certificate without it been paid.

Its a publication fee, you get charged it every time you publish a completed BER assessment, it 25 euro's each time.
