One of the best games I have ever seen him have for us, looked really comfortable on the ball and was a threat offensively. The big smile on his face while coming off there said it all - he relished this one.

This has been coming since his goal against Udinesse and I have to give it to him he refused to leave and fought for his place . If more people had his attitude we would be in a better position in the league . I would love to see him get a goal soon it would do him the world of good

I feared the worst heading into this game, but it never came... I saw Henderson do what I thought he always could, saw Gerrard show his passing is still worth a place in the team, saw Suarez show he's a demon and a world class striker, and to be honest I see a lot of positives even surrounding Downing.

I am reluctantly optimistic....if that's possible. Our year :P
