With Aguero out with a hamstring, Tevez should get his place back in the starting 11.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

David Platt revealed Aguero will miss the 5/1 FA Cup game with Watford and is "probably doubtful" for 13/1 league clash against Arsenal. [Source]

Would it be mad to get rid of Suarez? He's in great form but has United, Arsenal and City (all away) in his next 4 games. Thinking of using the extra cash and going 352 and getting Fellaini in for Sterling.

I fully expect Suarez to score against United and Arsenal, and could easiy do City as well.

He was serving a suspension. Though apparently Joe Cole is on his way to West ham - which may or may not affect him

My transfer was Clark to O'Brien.

Villa have gone off the boil and after his 15 point wonder show O'Brien should rise ahead of the double Gameweek.

Ta. I'd forgot that he'd picked up a booking.

    Tevez or Suarez

Suarez has hit a small purple patch although things could be different with Sturridge in there now

Tevez has been poor FF wise lately but surely he'll be playing regularly until Aguero is back?

Stay away from tevez I said back at the start of Dec that everything had gone in his favour with regard to getting the number of games he was getting. Aguero could be back for the Arsenal game and he is the main man if hes not ok tevez might play but the following week you will be back to praying that he gets a start every week.

Tevez and Ba or Suarez and Berbatov? They're the same price.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,727 ✭✭✭darego

suarez and berba. both guaranteed their spot, unlike the other 2 with ba now at chelsea

Yaya out, Bale in. Wildcard kept for later.

Why are people making their transfers this early? Anyone could get injured in the cup games this weekend.

Cazorla to Bale but you probably have the DGW in mind. Apart from that I think your looking good maybe bank the transfer.

This. I'd go Bale if you can afford it. Although there's the DGW to think about.

I would of liked to hold off but Joey O'Brien, who I wanted to get in, had a good weekend and is rising.

I have no cash in bank so had to rush a straight swop for Clark.

Am i mad to take a 4 point hit for this and keep my Wildcard for later?

Cech and Clyne out- Howard and Heitinga from Everton in.

    Everton's next 4 games are Swansea(h), Southampton (a), WBA(h), Villa (h).

I wouldn't get rid of Clyne tbh.

I also wouldn't get in an Everton defender to save my life, let alone two! They haven't kept a clean sheet in about 15 GWs.

I know but Man City,Man Utd,Arsenal,Liverpool and Chelsea have tough fixtures coming up and are all playing each other over the next few weeks so the clean sheets will be scarce.

clean sheets are scarce anyway this season. i'd maybe look for cheapies with the best chance of clean sheets, just not Everton

This, plus some chance of attacking points. Clyne and OBrien are good examples, as is Cuellar who I stupidly got rid of in the middle of a medication-induced haze.

if you're getting an Everton defender, only get Baines.

and that's only because you'd actually be buying him as if he's an extra midfielder and a set piece taker.

you don't buy Everton defenders for their clean sheets.

    New plan so;

Cech to Szczesny. Good; Double GW coming up, 4 of their next 5 at home,
Bad; Man City,Chelsea, Liverpool and Stoke to play.

or Cech to Begovic; Good; Best keeper this season, fixtures are decent,
Bad; Stoke defense has fallen apart recently, 1 CS in 5 games

Bear i mind though that 4/5 Stokes last games have been against Everton, Liverpool, Spurs, and City

begovic is way overpriced at this stage that ship has sailed DDG is cheaper.

I'd have a good sub 'keeper if bringing in De Gea, he's not guaranteed to play when Lindegaard is fit.

What does people think about getting in benteke, hes got southampton and West Brom next games,

Ill be droping defoe for him and upgrading to michu in midfield aswell

    So Defoe to Benteke

    Got two free tranfers

I actually dropped Benteke for Defoe last weekend, kinda regretting it now.

    DERP

    As for next game week

    Torres out
    Rooney/Welbeck/Hernandez in

Newcastle have very very nice fixtures coming up actually, fairly sick Ba left with the fixtures they have.... So I'm gonna take a chance on a Newcastle defender. I cant see obvious clean sheets from any team in the coming weeks, Newcastle don't have a terrible defence but I'm banking on their form improving soon. Especially with Reading and Villa coming up.

I wonder how much Debuchy will cost?

Have RVP, Lambert and Aguero (doubtful) up top at the moment.

Is it worth getting in Suarez for Aguero. Have two free transfers so points hit not an issue. Run of tough fixtures coming up for Liverpool but still worth getting him in so I don't lose ground on rivals?

I have and have had Suarez in my team for a good while. I have no intention of swapping him out even given his tough run of fixtures as he is one of those players who can come up with a goal or 2 in a game against one of the top 3 or 4. Plus he's is a nailed on starter, barring injury.

Santon as well as Debuchy are options as both like to bomb forward,Santon delivered a few nice balls in v Everton.

Couldn't agree more. Even with Sturridge, Liverpool can't afford to rest him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,685 ✭✭✭✭wonski

I can't really understand why people are so worried about Suarez now? Suarez is top scorer, and Sturridge won't replace him. If anything, he is going to help him. Maybe Suarez will get few more assists instead of goals, but he is most important player in the team, and he is in really good form.
Suarez in Liverpool is as important as RVP in Manchester. May share few points with Sturridge, so will RVP with Hernandez/Rooney.

To be honest i am happy to see Sturridge in Liverpool. They needed extra player like Sturridge, not only to help Suarez out (Sterling is great young player, but he lacks some experience, he makes it up fighting for a ball) but also to cover for him. I hope Liverpool gets up in the table in next games (apart from next few fixtures that i consider gamble)

So whos going to be taking a punt on Cisse now that Ba is gone? Think he will prodeuce like when he first arrived?

I'm strongly thinking about bringing him for Torres who im selling regardless ha

i can see him playing more freely and with confidence now that Ba is off the scene. might definitely be worth a punt. probably best to wait a bit and see though

need to rid Torres tho and have 9.9 in to spend. Pardew has said he is going to play him up top as the main man in his favorite position. Just adding that in.

Ah no it's guaranteed he'll be the main man it just remains to be seen how he'll perform. you're not going for suarez then???
