Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Things to do in Dublin over the next week or so

    Hi Guys

First post in this forum, so mods please move it somewhere else, if it's not suited.
However the reason I wanted to post it in 'travel', as it is really on behalf of my girlfriend, traveling over from Paris.

She's been over before and I've been over to Paris a few times too, but I am looking for things to do in Dublin, over the next week or so, that would be of interest to people in their early 20's, not from Dublin.

Like I can think of tonnes of things to do, but I don't know if she would enjoy them and likewise, there is probably tonnes of things to do, that I've just overlooked as "boring" for someone born and bred in Dublin.

Mainly want to keep it around the city center area. Any things like events going on? Nice 'undiscovered' restaurants? Nice places to hang out or go for a few drinks?

We've done the main sights around the city and gone out to some places for drinks, so I want to try find a few new places to eat/drink/visit while she's here. One thing I would like to do is to head ice-skating somewhere, if there are any places still doing it since christmas. Other than that, I'm slightly lost for ideas

Again apologies if it's in the wrong forum, however because she is essentially a "traveler" to ireland, I thought this would be the right forum.

    Cheers guys

The only thing out of the ordinary that I can think of on at the moment is http://firstfortnight.ie/ but I have no idea if that is anything you or she would be interested in. Does she have any particular interests or are you looking for general tourist ideas?

iSkate at the RDS and Dundrum on Ice are both open until Sunday 13th January.
